Not recommended if you don't like being in a hot restaurant (even at night). Might be best to dine in during a rainy weather.
Tried dining there and our first impression of the place wasn't bad. But the time we get inside the restaurant, the restaurant felt hot. The restaurant offers no Air Conditioner despite the kitchen being at the center of the whole room, now you can understand why we felt hot when we enter the restaurant area.
There is only one screen at the entrance to be used to input our order, which is fine if it isn't crowded and there is no line. But I can't imagine how long it would take if there is a pack of people wanting to try out ramen at this place. Might need more than one screen to be used to input the order.
Taste wise, I have to be honest though, the ramen noodles and broth are both pretty good and tasty, but the same can't be said for the gyoza, it just felt plain. As for the lemon tea, it is pretty much your generic nestea lemon tea taste. As for the free tea being given there, they tasted cheap and bland.
Price wise, I have to say it is a bit overpriced and doesn't match our expectation with that kind of price. You can have better experience in another ramen place with the same money spent (without sweating yourself too much as well, since similar ramen places will most likely offer air conditioning).
And the last thing, the restaurant being in Kota Lama, there isn't that much parking space directly right by the restaurant and you usually have to park your car to the nearest 'parking lot' which is about 3-5 minutes walk from the restaurant that charges parking fee about 3 to 4 times higher (7.5k to 10k) per hour than in other part of the city (usually 2k to 3k for cars) per stay.
Not a horrible experience, but I won't be revisiting this restaurant in the foreseeable future. There are tons of ramen places that offers...
Read more(10/10) The staff are very friendly and polite, they'll help you out when you want to order food, and if you order dessert they'll ask you if you want it to be served with the main dish or taken out after the main dish is finished.
(8/10) For the main course I order chicken ramen original special, to be honest the broth/soup taste so-so (the flavor is not rich enough/ need more seasoning and chicken stock), I much prefer RamenYa! (Legendary Chicken ramen) broth/soup because the taste of the broth is more thicker and packed with seasoning. The noodle is a little bit overcook, I prefer a noodle that is chewy (I hope the resto will put an option for the level of noodle chewyness in the menu). For the chasu chiken it taste really good!! One of the most delicious chasu chicken that I ever taste (the meat is so tender and it's well seasoned). For the side dish I order gyoza, and it's also one of the best gyoza that I've tasted, most of gyoza that I've tried are too sour or too salty, but in sai ramen the gyoza taste really good because they seasoned it pretty well. And lastly for the dessert I order vanila macaron, and it also taste good.
(10/10) for the ambiance, the place have japanese ramen shop style with modern twist, you can feel calm and cozy in this restaurant. They also have a claw machine and good music to match with the ambiance. And it located not too far from a huge public parking park near the church.
Overall my main concern are the ramen broth and the noodles, for the price point of 45k I was expecting it to be worth it since RamenYa legendary chicken ramen cost only 33k, if 45k price it's because of the operation cost (rent) I guess it's kinda understandable. But I hope the resto will improve the ramen, so it will be as good as the service, the side dish, the dessert as well as the atmosphere of...
Read moreFirst thing first, i dont eat ramen as a hobby, so i probably get things wrong, please bear with me.
I ordered the Curry Katsu and gotta say that it was good, but not like super good. Other than the side vegetables (scallion, corn, and jamur kuping) which gave some new approach for me in the ramen world, the rest was somewhat the same with others i’ve eaten for a while.
The curry very much reminds me of the one from Marugame Udon, which is nice but i wished Sai Ramen could bring more to the table as they’re not a franchise chain and trying to be an artisant ramen chain (probably wrong in this one).
But then again, it’s not fair to judge by just one particular menu. I believe by trying the others would give me more insight and alter my view. The macaron for example was good, but for me definitely not worth 27k.
The vibe from the place was so good, but it was a bit hot and humid for me. I wish they could just close the door. But hey, it’s good for environment and definitely safer in terms of covid prevention.
Overall it was somewhat a nice experience. The vibe was so cool, the foods were okay, and the crews were all very attentive. It’s a solid place for eat while you’re...
