BRASSERY O'ONE — Restaurant in Surabaya

NO AIRCON - LAVISH ATTITUDE FROM STAFF Yesterday I made a reservation at this restaurant as it was my wife's birthday. As soon as we arrived we went through a tiny dark staircase and reach an even darker restaurant only to find dozens of little fans, all running at maximum speed; as it was very humid and hot I kindly asked the waitress if there was an air-conditioned room to dine in, but, in a very lavish manner she responded that the restaurant had no air-con. Also when asking for the wine menu she replied that there was no alcohol available without giving any FURTHER explanation! My question: Do you really want me to spend 800k ++ for 2 steaks to eat in a pitch black sauna??

p.s. Dear owner in regards to your very nasty response: 1- At the time of the booking NOBODY mentioned about the ban of alcohol during the ramadan period. 2- I think you are unsuitable to run Google reviews as you clearly demonstrate unfair and unacceptable responses on banning people to enter your premises for everyone that puts 1* reviews. 3- Instead of complaining to my personal complaint, why don't you try to apologise to me for at least not having any aircon and sufficient lighting in your restaurant?

To finish.. I believe that there is absolutely NO need to mention to call the police as I'm sure that now our police here in Surabaya have much more important duties to attend rather than keeping genuine people with honest views away from your place. "UTTERLY...

So you wanna party? Well this is the place!! Fyi I'm from Bali and I'm studying here. This is a place that I'm looking for (kinda make me lil' bit home sick tho). But ANW, the place was awesome. The music was lit and the bartender show is epic.

Here some good things about the place : FREE ENTRY, No minimum order and you don't have to reserved your table (but it's ok if you want to) -The music and the crowd! -Drinks? YEAH OF COURSE! The cheapest you can find (for me) -And the party will stop till you all get drunk and go home lol

And here's some- not that good -things : Unfortunately it's to small and narrow. I mean the 2nd floor where the DJ and the bar is. (The 1st floor is like a restaurant but with a music from upstairs, nah. Not that good)

Outfits : casual (you're gonna drunk anw don't think to much about it lol)

P.s : I meet some new friends here, that's was a great things if you can get a new friend in a new place

This place has nice overall ambience, serving a good range of alcohol selections. Their alcohol price is a little bit steep for a bar/pub compared to other similar places (10-15% more expensive). Foodwise, it would be wise to not expect anything. I tried the burger, fettucine, and salmon but none of them is on a satisfaction level that we would expect on the price tag. As this is a relatively a new place in town, it is passable for now. Staffs are nice and helpful, which is great to forget...
