Read moreThe place is quite good to hang out, location is on downtown Solo, ambience is nice, food is average. Overall, it’s quite an okay place to chill with friends and family. The one thing that bother us was that the cashier made 5 mistakes in our bill, 1 drink (the cheapest one) was not included and 4 other drinks that we did not order were included. First of all, they made us pay without giving the summary of the order up front for us to check first. So we pay and then checked it afterwards. That’s when we realized we were paying for drinks that we did not order, and certainly did not come to our table. So, there’s no mistake in the ordering process. The mistake was in the paying process. When we got back to the cashier and asked, the cashier did not seem surprise at all and nonchalantly said that she will return our money. When we helped to count the total price, she got quite agitated and raised her tone to us. Mistake is bound to happen. But 5 mistakes in 1 bill? I’m not sure if it was a deliberate action or not. Owner may...
Read moreThis place is a modern, fixed rendition of a traditional Javanese dining experience called Angkringan. Angkringan is usually a cart that sells small portions of foods, snacks, and drinks. Here they had the staples and more.
There were plenty of choices starting from the rice dishes, proteins, fritters, drinks, and other snacks. Eating here definitely didn't feel like a lot, but the food eventually added up. The flavour of the food was good, but at the same time, nothing special. I don't know if I would recommend coming here solely for the food. The place was spacious, and the service was alright, but it was semi outdoors, so there's a bit of a mosquito problem there.
Overall, this was just an okay place. Nothing to rave about, but could still be a nice place to hang out.
