Iâve been in love with manual brew lately,
This technique of serving coffee trully make the flavor of the beans come to the surface, my friend recommends to @sekutukopi in Solo, they have various kind of Indonesian beans here, and the barista said in some moment, they brew beans other country such as Chille, Colombia, Vietnam etc.
Sekutu Kopi was like a âone stop Nusantara coffee shopâ in solo, itâs placed in central district/main road in Solo (Slamet Riyadi main street) right beside of McDonald, itâs easy to find right? The barista is also friendly and easy to talk, so while waiting for my coffee to be served, I asked him about what kind of coffee they usually brew here, how many brewing methods they have, and how they manage to get some high-quality beans. Yes, they have a few high-quality beans but itâs not for sale, the beans are used for the barista to learn for the upcoming brewing competition. Thank you, Alfin, for the explanation about your beans and brew methods available in Sekutu Kopi, Iâll come back later to try another manual brew technique youâve got, and good luck for the competition. I really love the owner who not just looking for a revenue for their business but also giving their employee a chance to learn & growth, really appreciate.
Overall, I really enjoy having a chat with the barista, the place is also good when you come at the right time. Delicious coffee, friendly staff who easy to talk, nice & cozy place, what else you looking for your coffee break?
a little bit of suggestion, it's ok to play any genre of music, but please take a note, know when the time to play the...
Read moreThe price for a kind of drinks here, is the same as most coffee shops around Solo. I bought a Latte coffee for 30k+ here, I don't understand about coffee, but the coffee here, even though it costs that much, its taste great enough. For food, there are not enough choices, because there were only served a kind of bread. It's really overpriced for the food because they offer a bread at a price of 20k+/slice. When I tried one of the breads it taste messy, because the taste had been mixed with some of the aromas of the other breads, so the aroma of the bread itself had disappeared a bit, and the bread that was supposed to be soft and moist became really crunch and rough, because it looks like being warmed again. As for the place, it's pretty clean and there are lots of room choices from floors 1-3 that are quite spacious and cozy enough. The servicer also friendly to the customer. That is my honest review, sorry if there are some people who are not...
Read more3 years on, more & more coffe shops are popping up in Solo. I still feel here has the best coffee for espresso based & coffee mocktails.
Magic is my fav. A great place to work too Update: back for the 2nd time, this time I tried their recommended cold coffee option which is "Suatu Kopi Susu", basically cold brew with milk and palm sugar. Nice and smooth but presentation wise could be improved than serving it in a plastic cup. I'll still prefer my flat white or piccolo any day.
Try the fried cassava with cheese and mayonnaise too.
------------- * * * --------- Yazzzz! The 2nd great coffee place, and by far the best, I found in town. My heart is happy đ The coffee is good, flat white has a kick, strong bold house blend beans. It's also very centrally located, along Jl. Slamet Riyadi, the main street going through Solo city. Don't miss this place when you...
