I recently visited Nasi Liwet Bu Wongso Lemu, a well-known spot in Solo for its legendary nasi liwet. While the food was undeniably delicious, I found the prices to be a bit steep compared to other places offering similar dishes.

It only got famous from social media exposures. And once is more than enough and has been my third lesson-learned experience to never again believe what those tempting "selebgrams" or food vloggers advertise about a food recommendation. The portion was so tiny (not gonna mention about the shredded chicken, nowhere to be found), the price rocketed high, and on top of that the taste was nothing special (that "juroh" or white fluffy thing was bland, not umami or anything like other nasi liwets I used to eat). We were expecting too much on this resto. They said is the legendary Nasi Liwet. It is by time. But the service is poor, the quality of food is average, and the price is too high and seems like we've been cheated because we're not the local and we came in big group, so they gave us a very high price. I though if they are a legendary resto, they must've known how to maintain their reputation. I hope they can change their way of service.
