Sate Kambing Bu Hj. Bejo — Restaurant in Surakarta

It is a lamb satay and other lamb dished expertise.

I have high expectation about this place due to the high recommendation from all netizen.

Try to find this place with google map, but the direction for car is always miss leading and always directed to the street that cars couldn't fit in. You just have to improve and adapt guys, but carefull there's alot of oneway trafic in solo.

When we finally found the place, it's lunch hour and peak hour. The ventilation of this place need to be improved, due to the smoke from the satay furnish is comming and trapped inside the dining area and turning the dining area to a large smoking pot. This will suffocate you and make your eyes dry.

Service wise:

For the seating area, you just have to fight you way in and promptly sit on the empty chair you could find first, even though the table haven't cleaned. When you sit, then the waiter will clean and offer you the menu. This point the service is good.

But then you have to wait and constantly remind the staff of what you order or else you could lost what you've just ordered. In my case, we're almost lost our buntel satay. They said buntel satay is sold out but we complain that we already order it ages ago. Then they gave us the satay. Bad score bro... bad score

Food wise: With all the high review from the netizen and the long wait of the food, i have very high hope for all of the food. We order lamb satay, buntel satay, and lamb tengkleng.

When they all finally arrived (almost 30mnt), the lamb satay is chewy and the lamb tengkleng is soft but i felt the soupe taste kindda bland. The gem is buntel satay. Very delicious and mouth watering. Thank god we got the buntel satay.

Final ferdict: I will not recommend you all to go there. But if you want to try, just gojek the buntel satay. It not worth the effort to eat there...

Sate hj bejo in the center of Solo city, At the first we order satay and gule, I am surprisingly the "satay kambing" is with ketchup sauce not with peanut sauce. Maybe because I am from east java and I think that gulai will be perfect with peanut sauce.. but its okay the taste from satay is good, the texture is juicy and the portion its big enough. And 1 again this satay will be plating without stab(tusuk)

And the second menu is gulai.. its full with offal (jeroan like limpa, babat etc), the taste is little bit tasteless (hambar) , but the portion is big

And because I am not satisfied yet. So I order the third menu ,satai buntel, and again they plate it without any stab (tusuk), The taste is good, i like it and its full with the meat.

Ps ; no sambal for this resto, they plate the menu with the fresh chili
