Senja Restaurant — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

Two words: very inconsistent. First day we had some really yum food, next couple days food was not great - had to return one of the plates as the food was quite pungent, felt spoilt. Service is good, but can be quite slow (took about 40mins to get served the food despite the restaurant being quite empty), with one of the reasons being the kitchen is quite far away (different building altogether) and the waiting team need to go back and forth to get the food. The setting is fantastic though, elevated, with great ocean views on one side, garden on another and the pool on the other side.

The physical environment of this place is pretty nice, especially the beach front. Indeed, I would go as far to say that the setting is ideal for a meal and drink.

Sadly, however, the food is pretty bad. I'm very surprised that this hotel chain is using cheap supermarket biscuit base for their pizza. Surely, the kitchen is capable of making its own pizza dough? The fish and chips weren't much better; 3 tiny bits of battered fish with frozen crinkle cut chips.

Don’t hear Bece the reviews on TripAdvisor and the photos of the food. And the meals were delicious. The beer was cold. The view was great and the staff were very attentive and very friendly. We were not guest at the hotel, but we welcomed and would go back. I’m surprisingly quite inexpensive compared to the resort that we were staying in.
