Lie Djiong Restaurant — Restaurant in Yogyakarta

A classic old-school Chinese restaurant in Yogyakarta. The foods are very good; tasty, huge serving, and rather cheap for its size and quality. They served pork menus and some hard to come by dishes like ifumie or mie kakap. On the downside, it has unusual opening hours, does not accept remote payments (any cards or digital wallet), does not serve delivery by any means (no grab food, gofood, shopee, nothing) and has tiny parking space.

The establishment had been around since a very long time ago and going strong still, with stable and regular long-time patrons. It won't disappear after 5 years or so unlike most restaurants in Yogya, so you can always count on being able to go to this place the next time you visit Yogya 3, 8, or 10...

This is the hidden gem in the center of Yogyakarta. Like I really mean it. From the outside, you will probably feel grossed by the appearance and the outer look of the restaurant though I agree it is not really hygienic there. However, speaking about the taste, this restaurant grants its podium. Amongst all chinese restaurant I have ever tried, this is the BEST. One of my favorite dish is 'Ayam Goreng Kering' or in english 'Crispy Chicken'. It is so soft and juicy that you will fly. Hahaha. Additionally, they also comply the dish with some 'salty, pepper sauce' which taste amazing. Go give this Lie Djiong a chance to amaze you. Very well...

Best authentic Chinese food in town with local taste (Javanese). It has been our family’s favorite restaurant to celebrate birthdays since i was a little kid. Definitely this is a good place to enjoy good food with family. The tables and chairs are set for dining together. And the big portion is absolutely good for sharing.

Our family’s favorites are Bestik Babi, Ayam Goreng Mentega, Mi Goreng Babi, and Capcay Babi. But best to taste is Kamar Bola and Burung Dara Goreng. Super yummy.

Open before lunch time and close temporarily for 3 hours then open again before dinner time. Price is fairly for good dishes and service. Smiling and...
