TETRA Coffee & Eatery - Yogyakarta // Terra Coffee — Restaurant in Yogyakarta

First of all, I am sorry to say this. I know I'm against anyone who gave good review with 5 stars here. But I have to say this so the owner can read and improve.

I came to Terra yesterday and ordered Americano (IDR 28k) and Latte with extra caramel syrup (IDR 37k). I read the review first ofc before I came there. The place and the menu looked really good so I gave it a try. However, I didn't expect it would be such a great dissapointment.

The drinks I ordered came out REALLY BAD they tasted just like a teaspoon of coffee and a tumblr of cold water. My caramel latte tasted like... it didn't even tasted like latte. I didn't taste the caramel neither. Not at all. It was just like a glasa of something with so much ice and cold water. I was shocked because for beverages worth 25k+ in Yogyakarta (the portion was also small), it was so expensive moreover it tasted SO so so bad.

I asked one of the barista (my friend's friend, he didn't have the shift atm) and he just replied "maybe because it's crowded, so the barista didn't make a good coffee." Well, "crowded" it's not an excuse for you to serve such a terrible drink.

I looked at the food menu and they're all expensive. I actually wanted to order some but after I tasted the beverages, I canceled it.

Dear Terra's owner, I hope you read this and can do something about this. I'm sure you did the test drink before you open the cafe. If it doesn't usually come that BAD, probably your barista wasn't good enough to make coffee (at least at that time or at least for my order). You don't have to scold or fire him/her, just tell him/her to do his/job better no matter how crowded your cafe or how hectic the day is. If he/she's still learning, I can understand but please, he/she needs to learn some more. However, if it does usually come that bad... please improve the quality of your coffee. You can do some more than that. Every customer deserves the best serve.

The place is pretty good eventho it was too noisy and too crowded. Well, I guess because it's brand new so everybody went there. I felt like I was in a club or something because my friend couldn't hear me unless I spoke out loud 😅

This coffee shop has a quite spacious indoor&outdoor area (small garden and general smoking area) with tropical industrial theme, i guess. For family,indoor space is enough for your kid to run around (like my son did,but however its not a family type of coffee shop ya,most customers will be seen on their laptops/paperworks). Atmosphere also good, music volume was just right,so it wasnt too noisy,perfect for small chitchat.

Wide enough selections on food and drink menu for a "coffee shop" size. I surprised that the food was taste quite good at a very reasonable price compare to its size portion! For small eater,i think you surely can share the food. I enjoyed my lunch.

Another surprise was, a separated (man&woman) clean toilet and a tiny but enough pray room with tiny wudhu area! Its nice&plus point for a coffee shop to provide these kind of facilities. They also have enough numbers of staff,waiters&barista and they were so helpful and friendly! So,here is my 5 stars,hope you can keep it up!

Note : just my two cents, rice on my japanese curry katsu was too dry and cheese sauce on the chicken tortila was a bit too much for me, the tortila itself was already good, even it will be more authentic without it. For...

Berawal dari penasaran, setiap kali lewat Sagan mesti lihat coffeshop ini dan pasti ada saja pengunjungnya. Di hari weekend kemarin akhirnya mencoba menyempatkan kesana. Coffeshop ini letaknya strategis dan mudah ditemukan (tinggal ikut gmaps aja). Yg pertama kita mulai dari tempat parkirnya. Tempat parkir persis di depan coffeshopnya sebenernya hanya muat 4-5 mobil, tapi jangan khawatir kalau bawa mobil kehabisan tempat parkir, pasti nanti dicarikan tempat parkir sama tukang parkirnya di bahu jalan.

Lalu masuk ke coffeshopnya disambut ramah oleh barista2nya. Pesan dulu lalu bayar, baru deh cari tempat duduk. Tersedia area non smoking yg biasa untuk diskusi mahasiswa atau kerjain tugas, dan area smoking yg kalau sore enak buat ngobrol2 (kalau siangg panass karena area ini berada di luar, tdk ter foto karena fokus foto makanan😁😁) Kami kesini bukan untuk ngerjain tugas ataupun ketemu temen, tapi mmg sengaja mau merasakan ambience serta makanan dan minumannya. Range harga minuman 20k-35k, sedangkan untuk makanan 25k-100k.

Menunggu sekitar 5-10 menit, red velvet Oreo dan homecoming moctail pun datang disusul banana fritter. Bener2 tidak mengecewakan 3 menu yg kami pesan ini. Rasa homecoming moctailnya unik banget, red velvet Oreonya ga kaleng2. Ya bisa dikata mahal untuk harga minuman 30an rb, Tp bener2 gak kecewa sih. Suka banget sama banana fritternya, pisangnya ga lembek, pas tingkat kematangan pisangnya.

Kamu jg pesan beberapa menu main course. Saya suka sekali dengan spagetti aglio olionya (karena saya penggemar makanan satu ini jadi dimanapun wajib coba). Enakk, bumbunya terasa, pastanya al dente, tapii satu kekurangnya, ayamnya gak ada rasa, dan masih kurang sedikit matang. Untuk hainan rice dan saikiro rice bowlnya standar sih, ga istimewa banget. Lalu untuk bolognese brulle pastanya jg enak, pastanya al dente, rempah ya terasa juga. Tapi pesan saya, kalau pesan main course jangan berekspektasi porsinya banyak seperti di resto2 ya…😉😉

Meskipun kedatangan baru pertama kali, overall semua oke. Meskipun coffeshop tapi untuk menu main coursenya ga fail, pelayanan cepat dan ramah. Semoga selalu dipertahankan kualitas dan pelayanannya. Sukses selalu...
