My first ever visit in this restaurant. Honestly the overall food tasted good, a combination of sweet and spicy, but not overly sweet. The gudeg was more on wet-type than dry-type, so they could only survived up to 8 hours. The opor chicken was super tender and juicy. Sadly the krecek was not as good as the two other components. The price was a bit expensive. The place was quite spacious and clean. The only thing that bothered me was when you purchased a bottle of water and some crisps you have to pay it directly in different cashier while you could pay later for the foods and other type of drinks in another cashier, so not practical. A little advice : keep it simple! Thank you.

This popular place is comfortable, quiet, and spacious, even in the outdoor area. Their service is also helpful and always ready. I bought takeaway. It was Nasi Gudeg Dada Ayam + Egg that cost 50k something. Quite pricey for me, but it’s okay; I like the taste. It’s authentically like Gudeg Jogja, commonly sweet-flavored, even with other side dishes that are also sweet. As a Javanese, I don’t have a problem with that, but maybe it’s not for Sumatrans or people who like spicy foods. The texture of the served dishes was watery because of its sauce, which is still sweet. One thing that I dislike is that they don’t have ayam suwir on their menu.

Gudeg Sagan is one of the famous gudeg ini Jogja. The nasi gudeg is delicious. The gudeg itself is not too sweet, with savory sweet areh, and tender opor ayam. The krecek is quite spicy. I like the ayam goreng, too. Savory crispy fried chicken with kremesan, works well with warm white rice. Love the ambience, too. Many guests but still cozy. The waiters are friendly and courteous. The service is quite quick. They have live music for the entertainment. When i was there, they played 2000’s hits pop songs. Harmonic band with beautiful voice singer. Really nice and cozy.

Rather bored with the normal gudeg style usually rather dry compares to this one. Normally gudeg tasted sweet but this is rather salty and got a little more sauce in the gudeg. The place is on the main road with a minimum parking space, the building is tall and got an indoor and outdoor seating area. From ordering your food and drinks it will takes only minute’s before your order arrived. Great service. When we arrived the place is 50% capacity which is great cause at that time it’s raining so hard. My gudeg taste great and yummy

My personal must go Gudeg in Yogyakarta. Basic gudeg like only 9,5k My most favorite because they can serve a balance in a plate. Not too sweet, but very enjoyable. And the place is soooo clean and tidy, with helpful server and know what they're doin. Definitely for those who doesnt really like sweet but wanna come and try Gudeg, will recommend you to eat here. And when it comes to take away, they will ask you where to bring the take away - so they will makesure the food is perfectly good to eat once youre reheating their food.

Gudeg Sagan is different than most of the Jogjanese Gudeg you'd know. Gudeg Sagan is the "wet" type which is smothered in areh. I had the "Nasi Gudeg Ayam Dada" which is the complete package with a large chicken breast. The meal consist of rice, krecek, the gudeg itself, and of course the tenderest chicken you'll ever taste. The meal was smothered in areh giving it the signature savory and creamy taste. If you're looking for a "rare" gudeg. Gudeg Sagan is definitely the best place to go. - Cheers! #BondEats #SeketikaLapar
