Coffee Dock Serving Starbucks — Restaurant in Cork

Met a friend to get a coffee from Boxt on Bandon road, and on the walk back to campus I realised the coffee I payed 4.50 for was cold. I did not walk back to Boxt to complain as I didn’t have time before my lecture. We were passing the Starbucks when I realised my coffee was cold so I stopped in to ask the staff if they would kindly heat up the coffee I bought from Boxt ( I tried to buy a €2 chocolate bar to show my appreciation for their helpfulness). However, instead of being kind and helpful, they were argumentative and rude at my request. The coffee from this Starbucks is never great, so when they offered to make me a new hot coffee I politely declined as I didn’t want to pay another 4.50 for a bad coffee. I asked if they knew of any microwave on campus I could use to heat up my coffee but I was met with more blunt and rude responses. I'm usually very happy with this coffee place but today i queued for ten minutes ordered my coffee and then when i presented my smart card was turned away because the machine was down!! I did not have cash as the whole point of the smart card is not to have to carry cash. I was actually refused the coffee!! This is not good enough as a service. There was no notice to alert me to the fact that the card machine was down. I think i should have been served as the problem was with Starbucks. I will not be returning.
