Coffee Scape — Restaurant in Cork

Absolute gem. I tried two new foods I had never tasted before and both were delicious! The first item was a Kaiser Roll, which was a delicious bread roll, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with cheese melted through cuts in the top, a tomato sauce, pizza seasoning, and chorizo as the filling! For dessert, I had a Bosnian Hurma, which was a delicious, compact pastry that wasn't too sweet (it was absolutely divine). I had my meal with an oat latte, as good as any of Cork's most famous coffee-houses. They provide a little biscoff biscuit with the coffees! Because it was my first time there, the lovely owners gave me a sample of their pistachio and biscoff coolers. These were heavenly! They were not overly sweet in the way a Frappe might be. They reminded me, instead, of matcha lattes in the balance of flavour and sweetness, but these coolers were ice cold and unlike anything I had tried before. Furthermore, the vibe in the café is wonderful and there is outdoor seating for sunny days! I really love the princely cat and dog portraits inside. It has been a long time since I have attended a family run establishment that is so full of genuine love and passion for the craft. Coffee scape is the kind of coffee shop where you always feel warm and welcome. A truly gem in the heart of Cork City. The owners and the staff are absolutely amazing, ready to recommend different treats and small bites. They serve traditional Croatian food, and they have so many vegan options. Actually, it is probably the coffee shops with more vegan treats in Cork. And they are all exquisite. The selection of cakes and pastry is endless, so it is their coffee menu. I have tried their 3 vegan burek with vegan cheese, soya mince, and potatoes, and they are all beautiful, although my absolute favourite is the vegan cheese burek. It is so yummy and filling. The pastry is warm, light, and flaky. And the vegan tzatziki sauce is the perfect fresh dip to paire with. Please, give it a go if you have a chance and I guarantee you, you won't ve disappointed. My new favourite cafe. They offer a variety of drinks, with customisation options on par with big chains like Starbucks. Dairy free milks, iced and warm drinks, they even have match and chai and iced tea. They have so many homemade cakes that look delicious. I was toured through all of them and even given a sample to try before deciding. I got a coconut roulade and a coconut hot chocolate, both of which were divine. I was even instructed on how best to eat the roulade, explained how the ingredients worked best this way, and served biscuits with Mt hot chocolate too. The most friendly and attentive service. The customer service is tailored perfectly to each individual person, even going so far as to ask how strong you like your coffee.
