I go in here regularly because it's nice and quiet during the day time, they have lovely toasted sandwiches & tea or a pint if you prefer. We stopped in to compare Guinness & Beamish stouts and to try their toasties. We had heard good reports about Fordes Bar.

The Beamish did not disappoint, nor did the toasties. But the best part of our stop was the excellent service provided by Tony. He is the consummate bartender.

If we find ourselves back in Cork in the future, we will be stopping in at Fordes...
