We were hosted by @umifalafel and we just loved it. Their Falafels were wholesome, golden-brown croquettes that are slightly crunchy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. We also their famous Palestinian Falafel and Cauliflower Fritters. Highlight was their Baklawa 🤩

Read moreVisited your Cork restaurant yesterday. Wanted to order a quinoa salad with a side of haloumi for my sister, the side is offered as a sandwich extra but I didn't think it was big deal to ask for it for the salad, apparently it was. I was told no and that I had to order a mezze plate that was 3 times the price if I wanted the haloumi. I said my sister didn't want that much food and asked why I couldn't just order it as a side and a very rude young blonde girl bluntly said "that's the rule". OK then. I respect rules but it's hardly a big request? So I asked my sister what she thought and she said it's cool, my niece was settled so we'll just eat here. I went back up to order, there was another girl at the till. I ordered my sandwich and asked for extra haloumi on it, then asked if I could possibly have it on the side...guess what I was told, yup... She said "no". I have a feeling the other lovely waitress gave her a heads up. So I said, ok, I'll just open my sandwich and pick it out so my sister can put it on her salad, the server just shrugged her shoulders. Appalling service, pity as I usually like it her as the food is good but we won't...
Read moreI recently had a craving for Middle Eastern food after spending some time living abroad in that part of the world. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Hassan, who patiently indulged me as I dusted off my rusty Arabic. We had wonderful chats about his home country of Lebanon and all the beautiful places there.
For lunch, I ordered the Fattoush Salad (gluten-free) and Hummus, served with gluten-free bread. Both dishes were fresh, flavourful, and absolutely delicious. The hummus portion was so generous that I happily took the rest home.
The atmosphere was lovely — I sat outside in the sunshine, enjoying my lunch and the relaxed vibe. This place offers great value for money, warm hospitality, and mouthwatering food. Mashallah! I’ll definitely be back, inshallah. Shukran to Hassan and the whole team. A tonic for the souls who are looking for some authentic Middle...
