I hate to give bad reviews but I had a negative experience with staff and management in Cafe Aroma. I wasn't going to say anything because I had applied for a job here just a few days ago, but then I thought, why would I want to work somewhere where they don't value paying customers? Today I asked for a coffee and was told by staff to go upstairs if I wanted to sit down because "students are not allowed to sit downstairs". As a student wearing a uniform you get used to being treated like dog shite at restaurants so I just accepted this and went up the three flights of stairs to order my coffee. After I ordered I was asked "are your friends getting anything?" by the manager and told I was not allowed sit down unless all of my friends also bought something. I was with only two friends who were quiet and well mannered. Can you imagine a manager saying this to a group of adults? It simply wouldn't happen and if it did, they would be outraged. Secondary school students are people too, and some of us are over 18 and have jobs and drive cars just like you do. Please stop...

Having eaten here numerous times for lunch, we have seen it a lot. It tends to be a very busy place for lunch time, which would be our general meal when here. Right in the middle of Ennis town, that is understandable, but the past couple of times we have tried, we actually ended up leaving before our orders were taken.

It tends to be very crowded and very loud, and unfortunately we have had very uncomfortable experiences here. Especially the upper and lower floors. The middle floor is quieter though not by much, and it tends to be so busy it's hard to find a spot on the middle floor. There is very little room between tables and customers tend to be very close together.

The prices tend to be fine, and the food is always great. I understand it can be a fast paced environment with lots of people to serve, but the staff are sometimes rude.

These days we would tend to eat lunch somewhere else and I don't think I would recommend. Now I haven't seen it early or late in the day, so I can't say much about that or whether it's different. But for lunch, definitely not a...

Sort of a mixed experience. I ordered the eggs Benedict. The eggs were overcooked. The hollandaise sauce had way too much lemon in it and lack character. There were 5 potatoes edges in the plate (are you saving money on potatoes?) which made the dish look a little less enthusiastic. Coffee was really, really, but really horrible. Poor coffee machine maintenance or poor quality coffee? Here is a tip, coffee shop MUST at least serve good coffees, don't you agree? On the other hand, the apple pie was one of the best I ever had. Service was nice. Price really adequate. All in all, I might come back and try something else but it is not a place I would recommend right...

Took a spontaneous detour through Ennis and saw this cafe had good reviews, and after visiting I can confirm it lives up to that standard! Staff was friendly and very accommodating for all my luggage. I chose to sit on the 3rd floor where there was a great street view during my meal. I had the Irish breakfast with Irish tea, which was so super yummy! Definitely recommend this cafe to anyone traveling through Ennis!

A lovely cafe, spread out over three floors. Staff were friendly and professional. Plenty of seating, not too crushed. We had the mini-breakfast. It was delicious, so good I forgot to take a photo. If you don't like your beans touching the rest of your food, you will have to let them know. The bathroom is on the top floor. Lots of steps, I did see a few people with crutches going up the stairs. The place was clean.
