Nora Culligans — Restaurant in County Clare

I have been here a couple of times now. The first time I had a good time but noticed the door staff have a huge ego and would throw people out, or refuse entry for no apparent reason. Also asking people, who seem to be minding their own business to leave mid-pint. This happened to me on my second visit. Myself and a group of (middle-aged) friends had got to the bar, ordered a pint and were at the bar having a chat when we were approached and demanded to leave mid pint , the bar staff were also told not to serve us again. No explanation just “not tonight ‘gents”. It’s almost as if the door staff are being paid by another bar to discourage people not to drink in Noras. Following this we went on to Knox and had a great time and peacefully enjoyed our night in Ennis.

Just FAB! I booked my sisters Hen Party here and dealt with Geraldine. She made me feel SO at ease and was full of knowledge of Ennis town with any questions I had.Geraldine was sensational to deal with from start to finish. It felt like I knew her with years, she was that friendly and approachable. Geraldine and the staff at Nora's genuinely could not have done more for the group and I. We actually all felt like VIPs on the night. We felt so welcomed. The covid compliance regulations here too was done so well. Geraldine also took the time to come and meet and chat with the group which I thought was a lovely personal touch. Was a fantastic night, so impressed and will definitely be back! At first we found the floor staff to be friendly and accommodating. They arranged a table for us for a limited amount of time as it was booked for later. This is understandable in these times. Then they asked would we like to move tables and we could have it without a time limit. We were happy to move on to another table. Without warning the manager I can only presume decided the table we had been given was suddenly booked. What a very disappointing end to what was a lovely weekend in County Clare. I will most definitely not be reccommending this establishment to my many...
