Cruises Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in County Clare

This place is absolute rubbish. I tried to go here for food and was ignored for the first 5 minutes I was inside. When I finally got the attention of a waiter he told me the restaurant was full (it was clearly not based on all the empty tables) and said I could go sit in the pub and he would come find me to take my order. I went to the pub and sat in the only place available at a counter right next to a band playing loud music. I waited for 10 minutes and the waiter never showed back up. The rest of the staff ignored me so I left and went down the street to Knox's pub where I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. At Knox's pub I got great service and was able to watch the England vs. Russia game. Would never go back to Cruises again and will tell everyone...

I have nothing but good things to say about the establishment since its reopening amid the outbreak of Covid-19. As one can imagine socialising is no longer what it used to be considering the current circumstances and many including myself have been extremely apprehensive about going out to enjoy a meal for fear of either contracting the virus or spreading it. The measures to which Hugh and his team have gone to ensuring the environment is safe for both staff and customers has been excellent and resulting from the above I would evidently highly recommend Cruises if you're looking for a nice evening out with friends,...

Major disappointment! This place was recommended by someone from our hotel for food, drinks, and nightlife... Not so much. The pros: waitress and bartender were very polite and professional, the food however was horrible. Granted, I ordered a "juicy Lucy" burger (look it up, its normally awesome) and had there seafood chowder.
