Brilliant restaurant I've been to multiple times for breakfast and lunch. Staff are friendly and welcoming, creating a pleasant dining experience.
The breakfast menu offered a range of delicious options, including croissants, full irish and veggie breakfasts, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. I particularly enjoyed the veggie breakfast , which includes delicious kale and mushrooms cooked in a white wine sauce.
The lunch menu was equally impressive, featuring a variety of French-inspired dishes made with high-quality local ingredients. I have treid the majority of the menu but stick to my childhood favourite of the moulles frites but the veggie croque monsieur and the chicken and mushroom are also amazing.
The wine list is extensive, offering a wide selection of French wines to complement the meal. The knowledgeable staff were happy to make recommendations and helped us find the perfect bottle to accompany our lunch. I miss the sommelier who used to work here.
Overall, I am always thoroughly impressed with the breakfast and lunch options at Armorica restaurant. The food is always exceptional, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an elevated dining experience...
Read moreHusband and I stayed at Amorica for 6 nights and considered it very good value. What stood out to us was the lovely relaxed and genuinely warm welcome we received from Natasha. We arrived very late due to a delayed flight but it was no problem and she even helped us print out our return check-in tickets late at night after she had a big event at the restaurant. She could not have been more helpful and flexible. We opted for the room at the front with the super-king bed which was very comfortable (so our choice) but if we were staying again we would opt for a room away from the road noise. It was warm at night so we had to open the window but probably no problem in winter. Our ensuite room was spacious and clean. The restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday but it was no problem as there are plenty of places you can get breakfast. We found a great local cafe Ground & Co. that did an excellent breakfast menu. We only had breakfasts at Amorica and weren't able to sample the evening dinner menu as we were seeing friends for their anniversary celebrations, but the breakfast was very good and next time we would love to try dinner there. The French/Irish influenced menu sounds were very interesting. I can highly recommend Amorica as a comfortable and welcoming...
Read moreMy husband booked this accommodation for us for NYE for 2 nights. I was a tiny bit apprehensive as we pulled up but I have to say, the man did good!!!||Christina showed us to our room earlier than the official check in time. The room was nice but we travelled with our Cavalier and she sleeps in a decent sized crate and I was concerned the room offered would be cramped and asked for a larger room. We were moved with no issues at all to room 1 which was perfect for us. This is a genuine dog welcoming place, we were able to bring her into the restaurant section that night in a discreet area with no issues and were offered the same at breakfast. She's actually fine to leave in the room but it was honestly a dream not to have to be paranoid about having her there!!||We ate dinner last night here, the food was amazing and the service relaxed and unhurried. Duck and ribeye was cooked to perfection and we were both much too stuffed for dessert! ||I am currently sitting in the corner of the restaurant with a bottle of wine, the dog at my feet and have just been given a couple of dishes of nibbles! Honestly, whether you do or don't have a dog with you book here, with that special personal touch they excel in you won't...
