I was disappointed. It was Sunday afternoon the day was cold. I was looking forward to a coffee lunch and catchup with my mom. The staff were pleasant but everything felt rushed. Everytime the door opened it was so cold. Food arrived very quickly. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich. It was ridiculously expensive taste was fine but nothing special. It was a bit slow cooked beef brisket on slaw with a very sloppy mayonnaise and no side at all. As soon as we had finished eating our plates were taken it felt like a hint to leave. There were a few people waiting for tables standing looking at all the diners tables. I could feel the staff watching our table to see if we were leaving to offer to next customers. My mom kept saying we should finish our coffee and leave they need the table. All in all we were in and out in 30 minutes. No catchup as expected. I gave 3 stars as food was fine, nothing special. Coffee was nice. Staff were pleasant. The place was uncomfortable and food overpriced. The layout doesn't suit as customers have nowhere to wait while waiting for a seat leaving them standing looking at the dinners. The obvious rush to move us out for next customer took away from...
Read moreI love coming here and grabbing a coffee, cute little place, great quality coffee, nice menu and staff are really friendly. Food prices vs portion size however are questionable. I ordered a ham and cheese toastie which was small with a dusting of coleslaw, literally a teaspoon size with no salad for 10e which I was more than disappointed about. Felt like I was in Dublin because of how much I paid however I wasn't. Even in Dublin, you wouldn't pay that and if you did the portion would be big and it would come with a decent salad. Check out some cafes for inspo and price comparison...Two Boys Brew(7-8e) Hatch, Cloud Cafe (7-8e), Happy Out(7-8.50 for toasties). From reading other reviews, the price of sandwiches and the portion sizes seem like a common theme and feedback to consider. I hope the owners take the...
Read moreThis place initially set a high standard for coffee in the area, but since moving premises, it has become somewhat mediocre. The use of non-specialty beans and inconsistency in barista standards has impacted the overall coffee quality ☕️😕.
Additionally, there's a lack of child-friendly food options, which might make it less appealing to families with kids 👨👩👧👦🚫.
While it still offers decent coffee, it no longer stands out as exceptional. If you're looking for a quick cup, it might suffice, but for true coffee enthusiasts, exploring other options nearby might be worth considering. There's potential for improvement, and with a little more attention to detail, this coffee shop could regain its...
