West Kebabs — Restaurant in County Mayo

100% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE! Terrible experience tonight, currently 02:55am, the way I was treated was an absolute disgrace so I felt compelled to write this review! Tonight my boyfriend and I went out for a few quiet drinks, a man clearly drunk started to pick on my boyfriend inside this kebab shop, finally after 5 minutes of verbal abuse I had enough and asked the bouncer to ask the man to leave, the bouncer proceeded to tell me that the man ordered food and there was nothing he could do, obviously I had ordered food aswell which I said to the bouncer but he refused to do anything and started to get cheeky towards me saying I should be able to stand up for myself and my boyfriend, obviously not doing his job and decided to pick on a woman instead of sorting out an argument! So what is the point of having a bouncer? To wait until there is an actual fight to settle? Also I ordered a doner kebab and a coke which the menu stated was €10.50 and €3.00 for a can of coke but I was charged €20.00! Clearly taking advantage but I didn't argue! In the end I was given a kebab tray, can of coke and a night ruined, would not recommend late at night, a pure scam, if you want to spend a fortune on food you didn't...

Set the scene. You've had a heap of pints. You're on a stag or maybe just a weekend away with the lads. You ask the people in your hotel where to go for late nite food. They suggest West Kebab. Please tell them that are wrong. Is it tasty? No. Is it reasonably priced? No. Are they cheerfully joyful behind the counter? No. Did the girl behind the counter suggest that I should give her the change from the cash notes that I handed over to pay for the sub-standard food? Yes, yes she did. I was warned that this place was probably not the best place to get food from but there are not very many other choices in Westport at this time of night and I thought that it could not possibly be as bad as my friends had said. I was wrong. It was awful. I never expect much from a kebab. Pitta, kebab meat, onion, lettuce, chili. Every single thing was disgusting. And it drenched in some sort of chili sauce that can only be described as hot bbq. Wow. Absolutely awful. Westport is a terrible, terrible place because West Kebab exists. Avoid...

The worst kebab I’ve ever eaten. I was stone cold sober and just arrived in Westport with my girlfriend after hours of driving. We were both starving but it was the only place open at such a late hour. I was not expecting world class cuisine but this was truly horrible. Drenched in some kind of bizarre chilli sauce that tasted like vinegar and Tabasco sauce mixed. Awful dry pita bread that instantly tore apart. Probably from tesco, certainly not fresh. Kebab was impossible to eat with your hands so I used the plastic fork given but it kept punching through the cheap styrofoam container. Avoid this place at all costs. Took me hours to get the taste out of my mouth and my stomach did not feel right...
