This is a restaurant I have visited on three occasions to date and the experience has really varied depending on who is serving the table. Our waitress seemed reasonably competent but not overly friendly. Sadly our waiter did not seemed trained adequately. I ordered wine and it was brought to the table and he asked me would I like to sample first. I told him I knew the wine from having visited before. He dropped it on the table and I asked for a cooler which should have been the first thing placed on the table. Some mains arrived later than others and it seems rice is sold separately which really surprised us!! We weren’t given a happy hour menu at all inspite of being there at 5.40. We weren’t asked would we like more drinks and then when the meal was over we were not offered desserts just could they clear the table (knowing we were leaving). It was an 18th birthday dinner (on my notes) with seriously no interest or input by the restaurant. We wanted some doggie boxes and the guy asked us to fill them ourselves!! I really think this is bad service as you should not expect customers to be scooping up their own dinners with spoons! I was shocked at their request considering the one hour meal was €150 plus €15 tip. Seriously guys you have to up your game and read the customer much better. I have had better experiences with you but I am saddened by the lack of interest hospitality-wise last night. We had one person cancel last night before we went in so our table was a 6 pax. I also want to note that the food was just ok. A lot was left over this time. The Peshwari is delicious though and Korma could do with more contents that just sauce. Please make the experience more friendly and cosy. And dim the light behind the 6 seater, it could do with being more atmospheric! Plus if you went more from a table, upsell desserts and drink…. Surprised you didn’t bother. End...
Read moreHonestly I wouldn't have given even one star!! No matter how much you hear about the good food, it's the hospitality, service and gratitude which matters in the food industry specially when it has Indian roots, it surfs on the unsaid Indian ethics and values which is known for great hospitality. We were looking for the evening snack around 5.30 and wished to try out Samosa Chaat there but we're denied service, the Indian lady in charge kept persistently ranting that we will have to order two main courses making it 20 euro per person bill, the policy claim which was no where mentioned while the whole restaurant was empty (Please put on board outside for everyone, might help you with better reviews) . Disrespecting someone and denying service for such reason is unapologetically incorrect and unacceptable. To ask someone to have dinner at 5.30 so that they can have Samosa was unreasonable incorrect, we had to walk out of place (was more than willing to do so, as I couldn't stand the negative vibes of the restaurant and the lady, wishing never to come back)
The owner should realize in the food industry it's the kindness and service that counts even the smallest order that matters not just the big ones. I was sceptical of this being racial behavior towards indians, on reading couple of more was certain of it! It's a shame!
Word of mouth there's a little Palestine food joint across this, worth trying their hot mouth watering dessert Basbousa with nice service. Would highly...
Read moreI would label myself more as an introvert rather as a person coming out publicly sharing my experience. But if it had crossed even minimal hygiene ? Even though there was an hair in the delivered food, I called them and I was like - I know it happens, but it is not good to have that in the food which I ordered for my child. All I did get a response is "do you want to have a replacement or a deduction in your next order !" What the ... ? Not even an apology. No.
If I have had not reciprocated your barbarism, it doesn't mean that I am accepting. I did go through the government procedures at that time required to press charges but then the night before I took a step back and thought of the families behind this devil-may-care attitude people. I don't want them to be the one affected because of this.
The reason I am posting now after a long time is because anniversaries do evoke memories, and when my wife and daughter asked me atleast to share this here so as to let know people to be cautious.
And, the staff / owner of this restaurant - don't you dare to come asking for apology now or asking to compensate. I am well off and don't need...
