All the food was very tasty & enjoyable. The slider of 3 burgers was superb. The mushrooms and the artichokes very good. I found the pork interesting but wouldn't order it again. As it often happens with pork, the idea of what it may taste like is better than the actual late. Pil-pil gambas were tasty as you would imagine for something garlic and chilli. The seafood paella was probably the "weakest" tapa. The 3 wines were all good & interesting. The pasteis de nata flavorsome. A big shame that we had ordered 1 course as appetizer and then the rest of the tapas as main. We were very clear when placing the order that we wanted it that way, as 2 separate things and got a response that seemed to mean "of course it will be that way. I am a professional, I know these things". Then all the courses arrived very quickly and all together, with no space in between starter and the other plates. That meant not having space on the table and having to change the order of eating we had in mind, which in turn meant eating something cold when it would have been much better warm.

Porterhouse Iberico in Dundrum is a culinary treasure trove, offering a delightful array of tantalizing tapas and an impressive wine selection that will leave your taste buds tingling with delight. However, securing a table at this popular spot can be a bit of a challenge, so be sure to make a reservation well in advance. For a truly memorable experience, I highly recommend snagging a seat in the charming terrace or garden area where you can bask in the gentle breeze and create the perfect ambience for a romantic date night. The food at Porterhouse Iberico is nothing short of exceptional, with each dish crafted to perfection and designed for sharing, allowing you to sample a variety of delectable flavours in each bite. Overall, Porterhouse Iberico is a must-visit destination for any food enthusiast looking to indulge in a culinary journey that celebrates the vibrant flavours of Spanish cuisine. So book your table, sit back, and prepare to be wowed by the incredible dining experience that awaits you at Porterhouse Iberico in Dundrum.

Used to be one of our favourite places to eat. Food is very hit and miss, we’ve had one great meal and one really subpar meal recently. The prices are about 60% more expensive now vs 2021 - cost of living or not, the quality and portion size is not good enough for the price. The serving of patatas bravas was actually pathetic, it was half the portion it used to be and the potatoes themselves were tiny. The picture shows what we ordered this time (not pictured are 3 croquettes the size of the green isle ones) that came to €51. Patatas mix, 3 croquettes (not pictured), 4 pieces of manchego, honey and 1 round cracker (cracker not pictured), 2 x tetilla templatas, a veg paella and 2 coke zeros is €51!! You can see how tiny the portions are; it’s tapas - not food for rabbits! Another time we ordered the cheese board and it said it came with “grapes” on the menu… arrived with 2 grapes!!

Went to this restaurant last weekend with my work colleagues for our Christmas night and it is somewhere I definitely won't be going back to. Anyone thinking of trying it out think again. It was a string of disasters . We had shared platters to start and as one of my colleagues is gluten intolerant she asked the waitress was everything on the platters ok for her to eat and she was told yes. But having later discovered this was not the case we brought it to their attention to be told they had not given this information when at least 6 of us heard otherwise. The girl in question was quite distressed knowing now that she would have a very unfortable night ahead having eaten food containing wheat. To our dismay they then proceeded to bring her out a new selection of starters in the hope that this would resolve the complaint but not accepting the damage was already done and would not take responsibility and give an apology. I ordered a duck cannelloni for mains which looked good when it arrived but was cold. I asked the waiter would he mind heating it up, I waited and waited for my mains to be returned but this never happened. I went to the bar area very disappointed to ask where my dinner was but by the reaction I received it was obvious it had been forgotten about. I was asked by another member of staff was everthing ok and when I advised him of the situation was told they would make a fresh one but at this stage the rest of the party were getting desserts, I expressed my disappointment but the attitude of the staff was very dismissive and again no apology was provided if anything they felt hard done because they had received complaints!!! While bottles of water were constantly put on the tables not once was anyone asked would they like to order a drink throughout the whole night obviously there are not enough staff employed here and as a result you are not receiving the average standards a customer deserves. A word of advise when a customer makes a genuine complaint do the right thing accept it and apolgise not go on the defence when you were clearly in the wrong, it would have made a huge difference on the night at...

My husband and friends and I drank and ate here Saturday early evening. It’s a bit annoying you can’t make reservations for a party less than eight so you may have to wait a bit. We had to wait about 20 minutes when we arrived at 6:45pm which wasn’t too bad. My husband got the port flight whilst we waited at the bar. For £12.50 it was a nice selection.

We ended up getting seated upstairs. It’s dim lighting, all candlelight which makes it a romantic atmosphere. The background music is not overwhelming: I heard some classic tunes and Maná which always makes me happy.

The menu is quite comprehensive including a number of veg options. We got the iberico cheese plate for starters and whilst it was mild cheese as stated, with some lovely blue corn crackers, bread and honey, we still wish we had gotten the stronger Manchego.

For tapas, I got the veg cannelloni and the stewed spinach. My friend got the shrimp and her son the fries and chicken skewers. But somehow we ended up with a duck cannelloni and a roasted duck leg although my friend swore she didn’t order that (and as a veg I sure didn’t). But the waitress was persistent and I think to avoid drama we just accepted the tapas. So really not the best experience with the heavy-handed waitress manner.

That said our food was delicious! I loved the cannelloni and the spinach. They were both full of flavour.

Service suffered a bit as well as it’s quite busy and the seating manner is cramped. But overall I still enjoyed our experience although my friend was not pleased that empty tapas plates were not removed quicker. I could...

The worst dining experience of our parties entire lives.

From the moment we got there this was a disaster.

I'm all for giving people a chance and with things only getting back to normal we must all cut busineses some slack but this was an outrageously bad experience.

Table was late by 30 mins, couldn't get a drink while we waited , everything on menu was unavailable, they said they had no Sangria yet 5 mins later table beside us were drinking it.

3 couple so we had ordered roughly 21 / 22 dishes , after 45 mins 10 dishes came out , 20 mins passed and we were still waiting for the rest , I ask waitress , 10 mins later still nothing , I asked for manager , he tells us then that 4 further dishes were now off the menu and the rest couldn't be cooked as cooker had broke.

Ya couldn't make this up , and his attitude was terrible , he had no manners and his staff actually threw the dishes they had brought out at us and grunted.

To top it off he hit me with the door as we were leaving.

We will never be back and I'd advise any1 looking for a nice dining experience to do...
