Starbucks Dundrum — Restaurant in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown

I’ve been to Starbucks all over the world, and here in Dublin, I visit almost every store with the exact same order every day. Today, I went to the Dundrum branch and had a really disappointing experience.

A barista named Claudia told me she couldn’t fill up the cold foam on my drink because “it’s not secured.” I was genuinely confused. I’ve never been told that before. Another barista came over (she was lovely) and kindly asked, “Do you want me to fill it up?” which I really appreciated. Claudia then rolled her eyes and shook her head in disapproval multiple times, which felt unnecessarily rude.

Her tone was very dismissive, and to be honest, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a Starbucks barista. I’ve always loved how friendly and welcoming Starbucks staff are, both here and abroad, but this was the first time I felt genuinely uncomfortable.

I just wanted to flag this because her attitude doesn’t reflect the usual great service I’ve come to expect...

I only come to Starbucks because I like their tea. Their WiFi never works but they do have plugs everywhere which is good. It continues to amaze me how they cannot provide fresh croissants and pastries? The current Starbucks I'm in is just downstairs from Tesco, where they could buy fresh pastries on a daily basis? So I opted for the scone, as although always stale they can be toasted. I got my scone back from the oven, it might as well have been microwaved. So I asked for it to go in again, and once more after that much to the annoyance of the girl. I asked could i swap the marmalade I'd been given for the more traditional jam one gets with a fruit scone. At 10am they had no jam! 4 butters made it edibile, but I'm done with Starbucks! If they can't provide fresh pastries, scones and jam, They are not a coffee shop! Be warned, their pastries are...

Had very unpleasant encounter today in this coffee shop. They tried to charge me 2.60€ for small cup of cold milk and when I said, that I think it's rip off- things turned ugly. The guy with coloured hair and make up started shout at me. Was very ugly conversation and I decided never came back here just because of their attitude towards customer. I will write a complain to Dundrum Town center managment too. I couldn't believe this things could happen in posh shopping center. Coffee itself us below average, mostly made with boiling milk, which kills Coffee taste. Not recommended to anyone. Expensive, poor customer service. Best coffee in Dundrum Town center is Butlers.
