Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food.

I came in on a Wednesday night and immediately loved the feel of the place. The inside of the restaurant looks great, and whatever music they were playing, it was just the right vibe for the place. Energetic, bouncy. Something modern and Latin. Perfect to have a conversation over while bouncing along to. Every once in a while you would see a waiter or waitress wiggle their hips and dance along for for a few seconds. The whole place felt alive.

I had my order taken by the charismatic brazilian waitress with the braids. She recommended a main and an appetizer that the chef does particularly well and even told a bit more about the place. The other waitstaff were constantly coming by to fill up my water, take away dishes, and ask if I needed anything.

The first time I went to the Brass Onion I had their house salad and crispy chicken sandwich. Both were delicious, unlike anything I'd ever had before, and expertly plated. This time I had the tacos as an appetizer and the pork belly entre. Once again, the meal was nothing short of remarkable. The chef clearly has an artistic calling, because the food almost looks too good to eat. But boy, are you glad when you give in and take...

First time eating indoors since Covid and what a lovely welcome back!!!!! The owners made good use of the time they were closed to revamp the restaurant and the results are very impressive. There's a lovely warm atmosphere even with the absence of some tables due to Covid rules. Now to the food!!! The Brass Onion is always a favourite of ours but it's gone up a level now. I had tempura of courgette and aubergine for starter - it was honestly one of the nicest things I've eaten. So light but packed with flavour. My other half had the cauliflower wings which were delicious and I hate cauliflower!!!! Then I had the vegetable curry which was gorgeous - a sort of green curry. Just the right amount of food. My other half had the cod, which was the night's special. He loved it. Even though we were fit to burst we decided to brave the dessert menu!!!!! I had the lemon mousse with broken meringue pieces and he had coconut and caramel cheesecake. The whole meal was exquisite and this chef really is an artist because his presentation skills equally match his ability to cook. Can't wait to see what's on offer next time. Welcome back...

The Brass Onion is situated just off Grace Park Road in Dublin. The coffee shop has indoor seating area as well as covered in outdoor seating. When you enter you are greeted by the rich aroma of fresh ground coffee and delicious food. Very welcoming, the staff are so friendly staff. Pleasant decor and I love you can see the chef at work in the kitchen. I ordered the “nearly ready for the day” breakfast which was a good sized portion. My colleagues ordered the French toast with maple syrup, bacon and a baileys sauce and the eggs Benedict. All were well presented and service was prompt. The iced coffee and cappuccino were good. A great food experience. If you are in the...
