Il Corvo — Restaurant in Dublin

We visited here last night, must’ve rung at around 18:30pm and got booked in for 19:30pm.

Once we arrived we hadn’t even been put in the books that we had booked for tonight.

Once we had sat down not even a minute later the waitress was there asking what we would like to order food wise, we politely asked for a couple of more minutes to look through the order.

Once we had ordered and got our drinks about 40 mins later our starter comes out which I think wasn’t worth the price at all, we had asked for cheesy garlic bread who had barely any cheese on.

When ordering my drinks and my main I must’ve told the waitress twice that I had an allergy to fruit once when ordering drinks and again when ordering my food, I just felt like I wasn’t really understood and taken seriously.

Normally when I tell restaurants about my allergy there would normally be a manager or the chef come up to me and speak about what it is I can and can’t have but that didn’t happen.

Once my spaghetti bolognese arrived it was very watery and bland, I had a weird feeling when eating it as I just didn’t feel like I had been listened to but I still put my trust in the staff.

I must’ve had about 5 or 6 mouthful's of the food and just didn’t feel right. Once we had finished and paid the bill that was very expensive and not worth the quality of the food at all I went back to my hotel and was in the back of an ambulance 10-15 mins after due to an allergic reaction.

I feel like I had put my trust in staff and got completely ignored.

Very nice Italian restaurant, exactly as must be. Extremely professional service in all smallest details makes you comfortable and relaxed to enjoy your lunch or dinner, I admire that mostly! The variety of meal choices in the menu will definitely satisfy any guest and if you like to make any changes of ingredients in a dish according to your preferences, that would be gladly accepted. All is for your comfort so you do really feel as a guest - Italian style of service 😉! The interior is very pleasant, simple and absolutely comfortable, no luxury "pretendings" so you'd fully enjoy even if came just to share a pizza with friends.

I'd definitely recommend this place and gladly be back here...

Been eating here for years and unfortunately all we have seen is portion sizes get smaller and prices get higher.

The food tastes great (other than the sauce with the brie wedges which was like water) I had to complain to the manager on our last visit as my meal didn't come out until the other 3 people finished their meals, my partners chips got forgotten and My mother's Lasagne was tiny and didn't even come garnished for the price you are paying the plate looked so sad.

The manager informed me the chef hasn't been in and the person in the kitchen isn't used to being there. How can they charge full price for dishes that aren't cooked by a trained chef?
