I rang on Monday 7th September to book for Saturday explaining I understand the guidelines are for 6 to a table but could we have one for 7 and was told this is not a problem. On Saturday I received a phone call telling they can’t accommodate a table of 7 due to the government guidelines. I explained that your colleague who took the booking agreed to cater for 7 despite guidelines and the late notice was not appreciated the manager did not apologise and was abrupt. She said if we wish to have the booking we will need to separate tables and split our group 3 at one table and 4 at another table, due to late notice I had no choice but to agree.

The Prosecco glass my friend got had red lipstick on it which is worrying considering you would expect everything to be cleaned properly with the covid pandemic.

On the two cheese plates, the crackers were stale on both.

The peppercorn sauce was forgotten about for all our ribeye steaks, which we pointed out but we were nearly half-finished at that stage.

To add to all this the manager who I spoke to on the phone earlier was our waiter and was abrupt and rude and not friendly at all and lacked customer service skills let alone management skills!

When the bill arrived we noticed a service charge of nearly €50 ! Well it couldn't be for an amazing service or that we were a table of 6 or more.....

We asked for this to be removed only to be told cause where a booking of more than 6 (even though we're split over 2 tables) this is why its applied and the company policy is it cannot be removed !

The manager started shouting and saying "how disgraceful to ask us to remove it during covid" and insisting she wasn't removing it as company policy! There was such commotion even the kitchen staff put their heads out to see what was happening. Eventually she agreed to remove it and told me she would never be taking a booking from me again !

I've never been so rudely treated and never thought I would be shouted at by a manager, just an awful experience all round definitely ruined my Birthday...

Profoundly disappointing brunch visit. Starting with the blend of coffee, distinctly acidic and definitely no "Illy" (used on the other hand by Andersons Creperie just down the road and making for a far superior experience overall both for its quality and surprising economy). Adding insult to injury my double espresso was served in a cappuccino mug. I've never had this happen to me before and am still in hindsight confused at the waitressing choice. Bearing in mind we had three brunch dishes, the food is fairly overrated (and overpriced). We had two Eggs Florentine (one with an additional side salmon) and the Healthy Option. The eggs were actually quite well poached and the brioche not particularly sweet but it was all SWIMMING in a poorly reduced hollandaise sauce that overwhelmed the remaining ingredients entirely. The flavour of mayonnaise stayed on the palate long after having done with our meal, despite attempting to rinse with a second espresso and water. I'm told the Healthy Option was up to expectations. While poorly plated, it did look like it would have been the better option. It's a shame as the locale benefits from a sophisticated yet unpretentious aesthetic in a prime location in Drumcondra village but it is definitely more eye-catching than actually comfortable. The service, while prompt and welcoming, was nothing out of the ordinary. A very poor experience. Andersons, Petit Breton and The Cloud (on Summerhill) would've made for a more satisfying way to spend a...

I understand we're living through difficult and challenging times at the minute and businesses are trying to get back on their feet but the lady manager whom was on shift on Saturday night needs to be given a crash course on bedside manners or probably should consider a career change where she's not working with the public - service wasn't great (not even going into detail as there were quite a few mishaps) and food wasn't cooked properly. When a member of our party politely requested for the service charge to be removed the manager began shouting, so much so that other staff members came out from the kitchen to look. We at no stage raised any of our voices, so there was absolutely no need for her to raise hers, let alone have a full on screaming match. Would not recommend in the slightest, if you're planning on going anywhere in the drumcondra area go to il corvo or Chilli Banana. Food is great as is the service, they actually appreciate...

I had dinner here with a friend on Saturday afternoon. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The food is top class. I had the cod starter and the seabass main - both were excellent, both in presentation and in taste. I rarely eat dessert but we were so kindly allowed to spend hours lingering over our wine that we eventually shared the 'cookie' dessert. Oh my, this was everything a dessert should be - warm, gooey, caramel-ly - utterly delicious, we practically scraped the skillet clean! Service is wonderful - each member of staff was warm, welcoming, engaging and clearly enjoyed their work and their customers. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to return.

This restaurant is quite small and tables are quite close so you will not have a private conversation. We orders the Filet mignon which was good but not great just good. We ordered champagne from the menu but it was not available so we settled for a different one which was ok, it just was not what we wanted. We were seated in the back room of the restaurant not at the front because we did not make reservation so that was our problem. I think I would have like it better had I sat in the front part of the restaurant. it seemed to have a better atmosphere
