Casa Clontarf — Restaurant in Dublin

Disgrace of a place- worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life. I ordered a pasta primavera with veg, the veg came out TOTALLY RAW!! Not sautéed or cooked at all. I raised this with the waitress immediately and she did in fairness offer to bring it back to kitchen. As I was in a rush, I said it’s fine I will eat around it. The pasta in itself and sauce was fine, which is why when I got the bill I said “ look I will pay for half of it” which I thought was more than fair, seen as it would have been 16.99 for a bowl of plain pasta with sauce- the veg which I was looking forward to was not editable as totally raw. If I wanted raw veg I’d go to a raw food restaurant.

I was then told to wait 10 minutes for the manager to come in as the waitress couldn’t authorise a discount. LOL. After waiting 10 minutes, and then having a younger member of staff apologise for the fact the manager appeared and then left, she said apologies in the house. The waitress “Rose” was a total disgrace - She then brought me over a bill and took 3 euro off the bill! Her manner was totally unprofessional and rude.

I paid to get out of there but honestly, il never return - shocking treatment...

Been eating in and ordering carry outs from Casa for years. Even going back to the Howth days. Decided this time to order through Just Eat. Collected same and drove home to discover goats cheese starter missing. Tried phoning Casa many times to re-order and go back down but no one answering. Later asked Just Eat to refund the 8 euro but they told me it was my own fault. Apparently they say it's up to the customer to check the contents and temperature of hot food before accepting. Try laying a 100 euro carry out order on a table in Casa to check its temperature and contents. Not blaming Casa, as stuff happens. We can all make a mistake in work. No big deal. I was there last night with my partner & the first thing we noticed was how it was quiet it was.

And after eating the food I can see why. I had chicken wings & Spicy chicken for my main. Both were awful!

The wings were reheated and stale, the blue cheese dip was honestly the worst i have ever had. It had the texture of Semolina. I couldn't eat it My main was ok, the chicken was rubbery and the sauce can't out of a bottle

My partner's rocket salad was sodden & tasted awful. She got the wings as a main & unlike mine were freshly cooked, she asked for a garlic mayo sauce which helped.

We used to go here a lot & have always liked it but either the chef had changed or the management don't care anymore.

I would not recommend it... plenty of other...
