Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Dublin

I gave it one star simply because the sun was shining and you can now sit outside. The minus four other stars is because I met a friend there today at noon . I had to clear my own table of somebody else's mess. .but then. . to my and my mates . 11 teenage lads come in. Take up the whole place outside with there bikes and own foods . During the time there . I'm observing the trash they threw around the whole outside seating area . And many people coming in looking for seats to eat or drink the stuff Costa selling . And by the time they went. The place in a complete mess. . How this is let happen is beyond me. All female staff . Nobody to even come out to tell them to clear off .no signs no food brought in etc etc. . an absolute shambles of a set up . . Staff couldn't care less . . To say in disappointed is an understatement. And both myself and my friend earlier work In hospitality. Shocking . If there was trouble in there . Staff they may as well have nobody. . Drimnagh castle school should be ashamed of themselves if them kids represent what there...

The coffee, as usual, was great. Costa, in my opinion, have the best coffee of the 'big brand name' outlets. The only downside I have with Costa is that the service is slow - in every store. The staff are (95% of the time) very friendly and very helpful - but the way they do things just seems to be awkward/slow - but the coffee itself, and their reward card, is worth going back for. This particular store was really, really busy when I called there and so it wasn't as tidy as I would have liked. Their toilets also need to be looked at - they are a bit on the shabby side. But other than that - I would certainly recommend calling here...

I used to love coming here for coffee but a lot has changed over the last year. There has been a huge turnover of staff and a lot of friendliess has left with the older staff. Add to this, the fact that staff staff start cleaning up and closing areas nearly two hours before closing time is almost intimidating. I've seen people leave because they struggle to figure out where they can sit. Strangely enough, the more comfortable seats are the ones closed off earliest.
