McGettigan's D9 — Restaurant in Dublin

Well-decorated gastropub full of screens so a good spot to watch sport if the atmosphere isn't an issue. Not many people there for a major sporting event on a Saturday afternoon. Service was not great. I asked if they had an IPA. They said they didn't although I saw afterwards that there was one on tap. The Smithwicks I chose instead was a little short of a full pint. Not enough to send back but just indicative of a lack of care. It was brought to me without a beermat even though the counter I was sitting at was stone (or stone-like composite). There used to be a full separate vegan menu. That has been replaced by nothing. Not a single vegan option on the current menu. Staff didn't even attempt to offer suggestions. Chips (only option) were fine if a little greasy. The grease wouldn't have mattered much had we been given napkins. Condiments would have helped too. I'm told the pizza was decent. Prices were normal for the area. Staff didn't seem to care much. Nobody checked if we needed anything and when paying the bill they didn't ask if everything was okay. They just did badly on the most basic things. There's nothing there for me to eat so I won't eat there again anyway but I doubt I'll be in for a...

An amazing experience been here twice , first time was here with in laws that stayed in hotel on 31st of July service was brilliant our waitress was amazing . Chatty, attentive and over all superb unfortunately couldn't get her name. Second time I booked table quite late as we changed plans , Stephen and Connor sorted us out on 5th of August with table for 4. Waitress that looked after us first time was looking after us, I was very happy about that. I order gin and what surprised me was that she remembered my order from last time which was Hendricks gin, it's very busy environment but she remembered us☺️. Food was delicious and portions were big and defiantly worth money. All staff were wearing masks which was very nice as other places we visited didn't. Definitely will recommend everyone I know . Our waitress had long blond hair she wore in ponytail , quite tall and had tan. I'm very sorry that I didn't get your name but we definitely will be back . Ps As person who works in the industry its amazing and refreshing to see service like this it honestly hidden gem. The only thing I would say they probably will need to get more staff as place...

Had lunch today at McGettigan's D9 and it was lovely. Bar food in very comfortable airy bar, delicious food, good choices and options on bar menu. We were very pleasantly greeted and waited on by two genuinely smiling female staff, Georgie and Irina, who couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and patient while we chose from the menu. Thanks to both of them for helping make this a very enjoyable lunch for us. This bar has all different types of seating arrangements, from intimate booth type seating and tables to larger group orientated seating and tables, all with comfortable seats. I noticed large oval table particularly - curved to allow everyone seated feel included in the group. Very well thought out; very well planned furnishing. This is a Sports bar; just to be aware - tv World Cup coverage for those that want that, but we did not find it intrusive, and volume was low enough for easy conversation. All in all we couldn't fault this place or its food and we'll definitely be back for a return...
