We had booked a table for 5pm. We were there at about 4.50pm. The waitress asked to wait at the bar as our table was not ready yet. (Fairly understandable- we were early.) We went to the bar, and got a soft drink with our child. The bar was full of people also waiting for their tables. There were booths opening up. A table of 4 walked in shortly after us and they got seated first (keeping in mind, there was 3 of us and we had booked). 5 minutes passed, 10 minutes passed, 20 minutes passed. At 5:25pm we were finally seated for our table. The waitress seated us and the table was ringing wet with the previous occupants desserts/drinks etc. Then the cleaner came and began to sanitize the table as we sat there and never spoke to us. The waitress came and took our order. We asked for two nachos for starters, but both with no guacamole. The order was wrong. One plate of nachos had pulled pork (not asked for, and also extra € to get pulled pork on them) and the other plate of nachos had about 4 big dollops of guacamole on the plate. Chose not to make a fuss. We'll eat them, and eat around anything we dont like. Then the main courses came. The child asked for a chicken burger with no relish- what did he get? Relish smeared on the burger. My order was also wrong, didn't get my side dish as requested. And the pulled pork bun was dripping with grease making the bread sloppy and overall, gross. Also to note, halfway through our dinner the music was turned up very loud, so that the 3 of us couldn't even hear each other or speak in our booth. Is it a restaurant or a night club? The waitresses were pleasant but obviously there wasn't enough of them on the floor or maybe they were understaffed. They probably couldn't hear us with the loudness of the music playing, hence our orders being wrong. The cleanliness of the place left a lot to be desired. The food was mediocre at best, €120 for a meal that nobody really enjoyed. Would have paid cheaper to eat in Eddie Rockets and would have enjoyed it more. But, hey ho, you live and learn! Just wouldn't come back to Rubys ever again. Seriously dont buy...

It has been a couple of months since I have been there (thanks to Covid) and I was looking forward to having lunch here.

First of all - opening hours on the webpage and google differ, and as a result I was an hour too early and really hungry 😳. Why is it so difficult to keep these thing in sync?

Anyhow, we decided to wait and not go somewhere else.... That is how much we wanted to eat there.

Staff was very friendly and we ordered regular bbq wings with blue cheese dip, ribs & wings combo and fries, two alcoholic drinks and two soft drinks.

Homemade lemonade was delicious so was the may flower martini. Aperol Sprizz consisted out of ice cubes mainly and didn't have the right taste. Drinks & meal ordered at the same time, food came first. Not quite what I am used to.

Wings sizes must have been changed recently, wings as such very small and there weren't too many either. The wings as such hadn't had a lot of meat either. Marinade was okish, but not to die for.

In contrary, Ribs were delicious, great marinade, perfect texture. Fries crisp and salty.

Blue Cheese Dip was served in paper bowls, which I would accept at a McDonald's but not at a restaurant, also didn't really have any blue cheese taste.

Food presentation as such wasn't nice either, what is wrong with a nice bowl or plate?

All in all, it was ok, but I wouldn't come back in the near future as there are plenty of other places...

Not impressed one bit. I usually come to ruby's regularly because I enjoy the food. But on this occasion I will not be back the staff were appalling not helpful at all and they introduced a "concert menu" which was the first time we have heard of it. Shocking because I was here for a gig 2 months ago previous and I never heard of a "concert menu" the options were very limited and I will not be coming again not happy one bit. The large wings for starters wouldn't fill a gap in your tooth during this menu either shocking decision.

Replying from your comment Hi Niall, like I say I am a regular customer there especially when there is a gig which this time I find very strange because in the last year I've been to 2 concerts in the last 5 months and been in this establishment but funny enough there wasn't this menu I could remember exactly what my order was aswell. Plus my total came to roughly around the same price (probably just 5 or 6 euro difference with no alcohol this time when we usually do have a drink or two) it may be a success for the moment but it the quality and variety of the food is what I think that let yous down compared to what you do offer I don't know whether it's a success because your turning over more tables I just hope your reputation isn't tarnished because there...

Ruby’s, which is close to the 3 Arena in the Docklands of Dublin, is a good American diner-inspired spot for food and drinks, in my view. You order at the table then pay at the till in the end, but there is also the option of ordering and paying for certain things on the menu by QR code. However, the waiting staff were all very attentive and efficient that we didn’t need to use the QR code system to make additional orders. For dinner, we ordered the large portion of spicy Louisiana chicken wings and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries, both were very tasty. The chicken wings were evenly coated with a generous amount of sapid sauce while still retaining its crispiness and more importantly, the chicken stayed moist too. Their delicious chicken wings went really well with the blue cheese dip that I had at the time. The only thing that I wish they’d serve with the wings is a bunch of tender, celery stalks. I also had gin and tonic from Ruby’s which was made very quickly and was also delicious. One of the easiest 5/5 scores I’ve given in a while and would definitely return here.

We went in on a Sunday night at 8pm after watching a movie at the nearest cinema and found the restaurant very quiet. That impacted a lot on the atmosphere & general vibe. To be fair, the cinema itself and the shopping centre where that is situated were empty, so maybe it's not a normal situation as we have been in this restaurant in the past and the place was packed. We found the music to be a bit off compared to the type of decor the place has. Not bad, just not what we would have expected (listening to Dancing Queen while you read Danger written on a wall with a print of an old barrel/wooden chest feels misaligned). Food was good. It had a bit too much sauce for my taste. It made the first couple of bites very tasty but then it quickly got too much. A shame that the plate I had chosen from the menu on their website (combo of grilled chicken & pork ribs) was not present on the menu they brought at our table. Chips were quite good.
