Starbucks The Oval — Restaurant in Dublin

I have been using Starbucks services for a long time until I started working in Ballsbridge and went to this branch. I purchased their thermos and continued ordering grande American as always and paid for it for at least two months until one day I gave my order to the branch manager who very kindly explained that my thermos bottle, that I purchased in that very same shop, is tall size and not grande. So for two months I had been overpaying. I decided to never go back and not to make any fuss. I still have 6 free coffees in my app and decided to send a code to my friend to exchange for her free coffee, she was refused the coffee and told she needed to have more points. I went and talked to the manager who told me they were busy and practically told me my friend was lying, when I confronted him with me being overcharged for months he was then asking me what he should do. Typical starbucks cafe. On the plus side , the staff were lovely, particularly a girl working from behind the counter who was from Brazil. This is not your typical starbucks in terms of interior and it seemed a little sparse and bare and didn't have that "vibe" that starbucks usually go for. Nevertheless, it was welcoming, bright and clean. When all that is said and done, the coffee was terrible and it didn't taste authentic and was more like a flavouring than a freshly ground bean. If I was looking for a decent cup of coffee I'd always avoid starbucks. Its just not at the races. I had an important appointment at the US embassy in Dublin and was turned away at the entrance due to having my laptop with me. In a state of panic and unsure of what to do, I rushed to this nearby Starbucks for help. The kind and understanding girl at the counter went above and beyond to help me out.

She agreed to hold onto my laptop for me until I returned. Thanks to her, I was able to make my appointment and avoid a day of wasted time. I cannot express my gratitude enough and highly recommend this Starbucks for their exceptional service.
