Oxhorn Grill Review: A Culinary Symphony of Flavors
Nestled discreetly within the culinary landscape, Oxhorn Grill beckons with its allure of gastronomic excellence. Venturing into its realm, my dining companion and I were greeted with a symphony of flavors awaiting exploration. Opting for the early bird menu, we embarked on a journey that would leave an indelible mark on our palates.
The pinnacle of our culinary odyssey manifested in the form of the Steak Sandwich, a masterpiece that tantalized the senses and transcended mere sustenance. Tender cuts of prime beef, artfully ensconced between slices of artisanal bread, danced harmoniously with a pepper sauce of unparalleled refinement. Each bite unveiled a symphony of flavors, with the savory notes of the cheese intertwining seamlessly with the caramelized onions, rendering every mouthful a moment of sheer delight.
Meanwhile, my esteemed partner was enraptured by the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, a revelation in its own right. Crisp, succulent chicken nestled within the embrace of freshly baked bread, elevated to celestial heights by the spicy BBQ aioli. The accompanying slaw provided a refreshing counterpoint, enhancing the overall experience with its vibrant textures and nuanced flavors.
Noteworthy, too, was the judicious pricing, a testament to Oxhorn Grill's commitment to ensuring that culinary excellence remains accessible to all discerning palates. It is a rare gem in a world where quality often comes at an exorbitant price.
To complement our epicurean sojourn, we indulged in a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, a libation that surpassed all expectations. Delicately balanced with floral aromas and crisp citrus notes, it proved to be a revelation for the senses. Regrettably, the name eludes me now, but I implore future patrons to inquire and savor this vinous delight.
In conclusion, Oxhorn Grill transcends the ordinary, offering an experience that transcends mere dining. It is a culinary haven where every dish is a masterpiece, every sip a revelation. A true epitome of excellence, deserving of the...
Read moreWe were delighted to discover that right beside our favorite Japanese Izakaya, a steak house has been newly opened. Absolutely loving the decor as we walked in, the trendy Maillard colour and style clashed so well with the golden greenish/gray background, both are the most chased after themes of this year’s runway looks. You won’t be disappointed if you bring your trendy friends for a picturesque fine dining experience. Well, the most surprising part of our dinner was the Michelin star graded starters. We ordered sautéed wild mushrooms which was beautifully presented on a bed of chestnut purée. It was so gamey and perfectly opened up our appetite for our main course which was a medium rare Tomahawk steak to share between the two of us. The steak came with two sauces and was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and flavorsome. It’s the best quality Irish steak you can find in town. The baked sweet potato with pecan and honey truffle was to die for, so creamy and delicious. We also ordered another starter which was smoked salmon and crab meat with avocado purée. It was presented as a lollipop which was fun to feed to each other with the stick. The texture and flavors were combined beautifully. We also decided to try their beef tartare starter which was what you would expect at a fine restaurant may produce. The meat was of high quality and we finished all three starters with satisfying smiles on our faces. We also treated ourselves with some cocktails and an Italian organic red. We really were too full at this stage for any deserts but we couldn’t resist the chocolate brownie and Irish ice cream. What a fantastic finish to a perfect meal. Btw, the on duty manager was very knowledgeable with the food and drinks. The waiting staff and bartender were all so friendly and helpful. The open kitchen was also a highlight, you could see the confident and highly skilled, organized chefs diligently and passionately preparing your food. Flawless. Overall it was such an amazing dinner and I have no doubt, I’ll visit it again and again. Wholeheartedly...
Read moreWe came a little earlier and asked if we could have a drink first. The lady at the front desk welcomed us straight away. There were blankets outside, and she even turned the heater on for us — such a thoughtful touch. Service was quick, menus came straight away, and our drinks were absolutely delicious (honestly, some of the best I’ve had).
When it was time for our table, she was so kind and polite, making us feel completely at home. A little later, when a couple left, she offered us a larger table tucked away in the corner — of course we said yes, and it made the evening feel even more special.
The food? Out of this world. Our starters — steak tartare and oysters — were spot on. My main was beef, cooked blue, and I swear I’ve never had a steak like that in my life. No salt, no extras, nothing needed — just perfection, especially with the mash and peppercorn sauce. My partner had the burger, which looked incredible, and when I stole a bite, it was every bit as good as it looked.
Desserts took it to another level. Sticky toffee pudding for him, chocolate fondue for me — and let me just say, the fondue was like an actual explosion of joy. I’ve never experienced a dessert quite like it.
Honestly, I can’t believe this restaurant isn’t packed every single day. If you’re in Dublin, do yourself a favour: go here. If you don’t, you’re...
