We ate at the pub right after checking in and dropping our bags off in the room. We got a table right as we got in, however it took a white for a waitress to come with a menu and even ask us for drinks. We didn't mind it all too bad, as I did realize it was a busy Friday night with a rugby game on so the pub was rather filled. Once a waitress did come and take our order, she was nice and even allowed us to change our table to another one that was in a different part of the pub. The fish and chips were allright. The fish was a bit undersalted, however it came with a good tartar sauce which made up for it. The steak on the rock, was really good. The Peppercorn sauce and the garlic sauce that came with it were all good additions. The "hotel" part of the building is over a bar/pub. There is no dedicated entrance for the hotel, and so you must go through the pub and speak to a waitress. Additionally, there is no hotel dedicated parking, and as such you must park on the street. It cost an additional 8 euros for overnight parking opposite of the hotel on Forster Way. The rooms were nice and big, ours even had a balcony, and it was clean with a nice shower. The staff leading us to our room was also nice and more than willing to answer our questions.

We sat down for lunch and the service was a little slow so we went to the bar to order. Asked for no mayo on our two burgers and my boyfriend asked to upgrade normal chips to wedges. The wedges weren't on our order and both burgers came out with mayo on them (which we didn't realise until we started eating). Could have had some more/better distributed avocado too. Fries were meh, not crispy. Service was also slow despite it being lunchtime and not very busy. The guy behind the bar who was also running food was very nice, but it seemed the woman who we ordered with and/or the kitchen were a tad careless. Overall, we were left disappointed for a place rated 4.6.

First timers here. We enjoyed a lovely full Irish breakfast with coffee for €12 each on a Sunday just before midday. We thoroughly enjoyed it as we hadn't had a fry in quite a while. I particularly liked the buttery fried mushrooms and garlicky roast tomatoes. I thought it was well priced given the quality and coffee included. There were specials for breakfast also. Lovely calm atmosphere in the pub. Efficient personable staff give the impression it is well run with regular customers and repeat business. Would definitely recommend if you are nearby.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, but I feel the need to share this to make sure you dont make the same mistake as I did. In the room there weren't any chairs to sit on, no bedside lockers, no mini fridge and there was very little storage space , for example the wardrobe was very small .The bedroom was very warm and uncomfortable to be in . It had no air conditioning and was not equipped with a fan , therefore my family and I had to go buy one whcih was a major inconvenience. You can hear everyone talking , laughing and shouting from the bedroom window as there was an outside area from the bar below the guests bedrooms , under the window . The cigarette smoke would travel from below upwards into your bedroom window and it would smell absolutely awful and extremely unpleasent . There was no designated residence area for guests. The walls are so thin you could hear everything between people running up and down the corridors and other residents in other bedrooms . The breakfast unfortunately started too late . Please do not go to this place. Please save your money and go somewhere that actually meets the standards of the costs. AVOID...
