I have booked a table for a date night with my boyfriend, never being in this restaurant and wanting to try something new. We arrived on time, 6.15pm, and we've been immediately told that we can only have the table until 8pm, without explaining why or apologizing. I thought this wasn't very nice since it made us feel unwelcomed straight away. Regardless, we sat down and were given food menus. We had to ask for a wine menu, which I thought was strange in a restaurant called "Wine house". While looking at the menu, around 3 different servers -after a very short time after we sat down and within a few minutes apart from each other- approached us to see if we were ready to order. We repeatedly had to say we need another minute and again, it all felt rushed and unorganized. After ordering bottle of wine, starters and mains we didn't have to wait to long, in fairness. Wine was fine, food was mediocre at best, I only finished because I was hungry before coming in. After the dinner we were just finishing the bottle of wine while having to endure dirty looks from staff since it was already few minutes after 8pm. We left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed with the experience. I will not be returning...

'The Wine House' can boast itself to be a place of elegance welcoming ALL ages. In true Italian style, families spanning 4 generations gathered to celebrate.
I enjoyed a carafe of Red, Montepucliano while the others enjoyed a blush.
Starting with Caprese, which was well presented and delicious. Followed by Sea Bass, Duck, and Fetuchini Carbonara respectively.
Lots of joy around the table with 3 foodies like us, complimenting the different cooking styles and simple elegance in presentation. We commented on how the customer service did not lessen, as the tables filled.
Completing with dessert, not something I normally bother with, however, Profiteroles rolls, Banoffee and a very large portion of probably the best Tiramisu I have enjoyed outside of Italy, led my ever savoury pallet on this journey of deserts. While in Italy...
As we exchanged spoonfuls of theses delicious treats, a resounding yes to this being a favourite going forward.
Swords you're a town...
Read moreI'm really disappointed tonight after my order. Every Friday I order online for takeaway, and tonight I've made the order at 19.12 and after waiting we did called to say where is the delivery ,they didn't even apologise for the delay, we got the delivery at 21 h..... We order 2 pizzas ,pasta ,roast potatoes and arancinni. We got 1 of the pizzas wrong and the sauce for the potatoes ,wich we always get the wine special. The worst thing is we've called on the phone number to say the problem and they keep hanging the phone. If u have a restaurant u don't treat loyal customers like that, any customer really. And the food quality it was bad, pizza dough it was hard like a rock ,aranccini were were not fresh ,they usually are very yummy ,and 2nite were dry and not nice at all. The quite decent food were potatoes and pasta. I'm really disappointed. And I know fridays are busy but same as most of restaurants ...but customer treatment and food quality it should be...
