I used to LOVE Jalan Jalan in Galway and went nearly every week but yesterdays meal was AWFUL, went in for a family meal..... Ordered 2 duck with orange sauce, both were sooo tough and overcooked!! My 4in1 the chicken was very rubbery and overcooked and chips half were not cooked fully! Crispy sweet and sour tasted like their was ALOT of vinegar in sauce so left most on the plate. Spice bag was bland and just tasted all salt! Black bean prawns were just ok (prob best of the dishs) All in all for €73,30 what a disappointment!!! Id hope this was just a one off bad day but im very reluctant to go back to Jalan Jalan again after this meal...😮‍💨

Nice pan Asian restaurant near the university. We were a party of 2 and ordered spring rolls, chicken yakisoba, and prawn pad Thai. Very good taste wise, not too spicy. Portions were somewhat small and we were still hungry so we ordered mochi ice cream. This was also good but strangely took almost 10 minutes to come out, and we were basically the only customers in the restaurant. Great option for Chinese/Asian food in Galway.

Always a good experience eating here. The food is tasty and the flavours are authentic with a real flavour of South East Asia- the chefs are authentic. The curries in particular are worth getting with good flavour and depth. I'm a fan of the Rendang in particular. If you're a bit more adventurous you could always ask them for some of the genuine Malaysian dishes that are off menu and you can have a real treat then.

It's a nice place to have food. Malaya, Thai food, Asian food, Chinese food, Irish food, Indian food all good and tasty here with good quantity and quality too... On the main street with tight parking though but earnestly it's a delight to wait and park to have a bite here. Accepts credit or debit cards. Small place, so no big traveling groups can accommodate. Usually not long waitings here. Also can reserve seats if required to confirm. Good quality food with enough quantity for 2 adults mostly. Kids menu is great and again can be shared like 2 plates for 3 kids. Very warm reception as you can expect from all asian restaurants all over the world. Take away menu also available. Good ambience. Toilet also available. Comfortable seating except no high seats available. Different varieties of noodles like thin, flat and thick one's all with different modulations of flavours and recipes. Rice also in different forms and tastes available for...

Don’t let recent reviews deceive you.

I have no idea where some of these other reviewers have been eating these last 2 months. This place is delectable (at the very least) if you know what to order.

Mak Mak Mee Goreng is a definite in terms of consistency and that long-debated perfect amount of spice. For a starter; go for some Japanese Gyoza. If you’re into curries; you literally cannot go wrong; but you can go especially “right” with some Rendang or Thai Beef Red.

Admittedly I’m hesitant to give five since I’ve only eaten here about three times; but I find once you find your meal; there’s nothing stopping this from being one of the most accessible and tasty...
