Usmania Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Killarney Municipal District

Avoid this place if you don't want to be put in an uncomfortable situation. I would like to make you aware of the situation at this restaurant. After traveling all day, we were looking for halal food before heading back to Dublin and chose this place. We were shoked to learn there is a restaurant policy requiring all family members to order a main course.

I have never seen or heard of such a policy before. While it is their business and they can set whatever policies they like, customers should be informed about it upfront and not be intimidated or harassed if some family members want starters instead of a main dish. It's not about the money, as the difference wouldn’t have been significant even if I had ordered a main course. However, I do not wish to be forced to buy food that I do not want or cannot finish. This policy should be clearly stated on the menus, before people are seated, or at the very least, before the order is taken. Informing customers of such a policy 10 minutes after they’ve ordered and then demanding that all family members must have a main course is unacceptable. The restaurant was empty, so it wasn’t as if we were there during a busy time when they might have been unwilling to make food unless we ordered a lot.

Response on reply : The restaurant was empty. Did not tell that they are fully reserved or even suggested that they are busy . Before I order more or less see how much food is served first as do not like waste food. The policy should have bean stated before we was seated or when we was ordering food at beginning. And how could some tell hungry we were or weren't . Again it your place , you can do whatever you like, all I ask is...

Extremely Disappointing – Missing Food & Poor Quality - STUPID restaurant with STUPID Staff and their STUPID behaviour.

We ordered from this restaurant and had a terrible experience. We specifically ordered vegetarian dishes for our friends with some non- vegetarian food as well, but the vegetarian food was never delivered. Despite reaching out and asking for a redelivery, they completely refused, which is unacceptable.

The food we did receive was bland and below average. Nothing tasted fresh or flavorful — not even the naan, which was dry, chewy, and clearly not made fresh.

For a restaurant that claims to serve Indian cuisine, this was a massive letdown. Terrible service, poor food quality, and no accountability. Never ordering again and would never...

Frustrating! First of all it took around 25min for them to come to the table and take the order (after multiple alerts). It took another 30 minutes to get the order. Even with all those delay, they had no idea what was my order Vs served. Mughlai rice was served instead of Mushroom rice. When i prompted, they had no idea instead taking to each other and blaming between one who took the order and another from kitchen.

Giving two-stars, because the other set of orders placed were fine. Looks like one need lots of patience and free time to visit this restaurant. It’s not about early or getting delayed in taking the order, instead at-least look at who are all at your restaurant!
