I found this place by accident while searching online. Their posted photos looked absolutely amazing, so I decided to give it a try. I am an Asian myself and a true lover of authentic Asian flavors. But the reality was a complete disappointment. I ordered noodle soup and another dish for takeaway, and I’m still extremely dissatisfied. The beautiful image in the photos felt like false advertising — the taste was terrible, and the soup tasted like. Soapy 🧼 water. The service was also strange: when I walked in, they asked if I was going to eat, and only after I said “yes” did they bring me the menu. The takeaway beef stir-fry I ordered already had a burnt smell coming through the packaging. I have yet to find out how the takeaway dish will taste, but judging from what I’ve already experienced, I have no confidence at all. If you value the authentic taste of Asian food and are willing to spend over €50 on a single meal, do not come here — they will ruin your taste experience completely. This was my first and will be my last time coming here. As for the food, it is no better than the generic Asian takeaways you can find on almost every corner in Dublin. The only positive is that the place has a pleasant atmosphere — and that is the sole reason I’m giving it one star.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere, with a cozy and welcoming vibe. The decor is a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements, creating an authentic yet stylish setting. The lighting is warm, paired with subtle Japanese accents, adds to the overall charm. We started with the Gyoza—both the pork and prawn options were delicious. However, the Ramen was a bit of a letdown. We tried the Beef Ramen and Musashi Ramen, but the broths tasted nearly identical, and the Beef Ramen had more of a chicken flavor, which was disappointing. While the Ramen was just okay, the ambiance definitely made the dining experience more enjoyable.

We had the chance to dine in on its very first day of opening. The seafood chahan was delicious, with well-cooked seafood, teppan beef teriyaki was medium-rare as it should be, and the ebi tempura impressed with its light, crispy batter and tasty flavour paired with the soy ginger sauce. Service was another highlight—the staff were friendly, attentive, and made the dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, Musashi Tallaght delivered both quality in food and warmth in service, creating a memorable dining experience. Hopefully, they’ll be able to keep this up.

Stepping into Musashi feels like entering a piece of modern Japan right in the heart of Ireland. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with light, while delicate parasols painted with cherry blossoms float above, giving the room an elegant, airy charm. A wave mural in the style of Hokusai rolls along the walls, adding movement and artistic depth. Wooden accents and quilted grey chairs create a calm and cozy atmosphere.

And then the food arrives. A beautifully arranged bento box greets you — fluffy sesame-topped rice, fresh sushi rolls, tender teriyaki meat with stir-fried noodles and vegetables, crispy gyoza, and a touch of greenery for balance. Each section offers a new texture, a new flavor — all perfectly in harmony. Beside it, a hearty bowl of fried rice mixed with shrimp, vegetables, and topped with a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. Colorful, savory, and deeply satisfying.

The atmosphere is relaxed but refined, with a soft buzz of conversation and the quiet clinking of chopsticks and glasses — just enough to make you feel part of something vibrant, but never...

Night was valentines night and I went with my partner, arrived on time for our booking but they took a while to seat us. Food was average however the sushi was great. As we saw other couple finish their meals they were presented with a rose from the staff due to the day that it was. Nice gesture. All the couples we saw receive a rose were opposite sex couples. When we came to finishing our meal we were not presented a rose after paying the bill even though we saw loads behind the counter. Left with quite an awful feeling. We were a same sex couple and I would hate to think in 2025 that discrimination was conducted on the part of the establishment here. No apologies were provided. Update - the business has deeply apologised for this oversight since this review. I believe this to be an honourable act and have revised my earlier given score to reflect the attitude of the management of this business. Positive,...
