Read moreI don’t know what staff do here they but my friend and I came at around 21:30 to eat something real quick after a drive, the lady said we have 15 minutes to order before the kitchen closes, and that they would have to sit at the main pub area since they are closing the restaurant floor. My friend and I agreed we had no problems with that, we looked at the menu and seemed ready to order since we had little time we had to decide fast. No problems the lady took a while to come order made me think they weren’t too in a rush but when the lady from the pub took 2 steak orders from us , she came back to us saying that they closed the oven and they can’t make it. And only get wings and gujons. Where is the communication here, as soon as guest arrive saying 15 minutes left to order, you come back if they not ready at 15 mins saying what they want, you don’t close the kitchen after seating guests down it’s like they don’t work there, turn it off then back on for the mistake, because to be honest I couldn’t really believe it, I went to 2 ladies in the restaurant they said they close at 21:45 and I said I wanted to order before hand then she started saying some excuses saying we close for steaks before hand, I didn’t get no type of information of this thing from the start. Didn’t want to ruin my night complaining to them so we left,...

I mean the gastro pub area. If you go inside the old pub, that faces the road, oh my! you are back in the eighties again. That's what happened to me. I went to Molloy's advised by the receptionist of my hotel. I opened the door to the old pub, and I probably looked a bit out of my natural environment. Then, some old Irish magic happened. A lovely lady by the bar spotted me and gave me a nod and waved her hand, asking me to approach her. She said to me " Go past that door, it will take you to the restaurant. It is much nicer there. Here, it is us and you may not like it so much". It was an honest, bold and sweet piece of advice. These things are unlikely to happen anywhere else in the world, I reckon. And right she was indeed. I liked the restaurant much more than the pub. I liked it so much that, in fact, I had dinner there again, two more days. If you are around, go to Molloy's. Great service, honest comfort food and...
