The Old Orchard pub exudes a timeless charm that harks back to a bygone era. Stepping in, one is enveloped in a warm atmosphere filled with nostalgia and familiarity. As soon as my family and I settled down for lunch, I could see the sparkle of recognition in my father's eyes, as memories of his younger days spent here flooded back. We ordered the classic club sandwiches, a dish that has stood the test of time at The Orchard. Served with a generous helping of golden chips, each bite was a delightful symphony of flavours and textures. The creamy pints of Guinness added a special touch to the meal, creating a perfect indulgence that was hard to resist. For dessert, we indulged in rich, fragrant coffee paired with a delectable slice of cake, a sweet ending to our meal. While the food was impeccable, I must admit that the service left something to be desired. Our waitress, though kind and accommodating, seemed to be stretched thin, trying to attend to all the tables single-handedly. Her efforts were commendable, but the slow service did put a slight damper on an otherwise delightful experience. Additionally, the music, though lively and spirited, was a tad too loud for comfortable conversation. Overall, The Orchard remains a beloved establishment with a rich history and a menu that pays homage to classic pub fare. Despite the minor hiccups in service, the warm ambience and delicious food make it a place worth visiting for a taste of tradition and nostalgia.

Had a meal Saturday night in the terrace with some friends for my birthday. We were it at a table right on the edge of the terrace (which I believe was the old smoking area) It was raining and as the meal went on, rain was pouring in through the roof to the point that our chairs and table, food etc. were getting really wet. We alerted the staff several times but we were told that there was no where to move us to. While I understand that it was busy, we ended up moving the table as much as we could. No staff offered to help us. We paid over €200 for the meal, which was cold and damp. By the end of the meal we were absolutely soaked. We were not offered even a complimentary drink! The staff were unhelpful and the food was just okay.

Hiya doing folks, back at it again.

Arrived in to this establishment for a close amigos birthday, we had heard the food was good (heard wrong), shocking from beginning to end, firstly we booked a table for 16 people, ( so many people I know) at 19:30 we got given a table for 8 people, and were told "if we wanted to sit together with our chums we would need to wait for the people at the tables around us to finish there drinks and leave". Can I ask you please what is the point in booking a table for a number of people if you have to wait for the rest of your tables to free up, i began to get the sour taste in my mouth then.

So after finally getting the table next to one of ours we were all able to sit together which wasn't until after 20:00, we waited what felt like an eternity to finally get one of the waiting staff walking past the table to ask if we could order food, so my syndicate of pals all ordered their food, I ordered the steak, 34.50 for a tiny bit of beef on the plate that arrived freezing cold and covered in some sort of balsamic vinegar which ruined the steak I asked the waiter who delivered the food could I get the pepper sauce it says it comes with, I'm still waiting for it, but according to my posse that recieved it, it was horrendous. I then asked the staff do I not get chips with my meal and then realised not only mine but 4 other portions were missing, so we questioned this I'd say 5 or 6 times then the chips came out, and they were, I'd say dipped in the oil and brought straight out, they were completely unedible as they were half cooked, but generally if I've finished the rest of the food on my plate I wouldn't be going back for chips that then arrive.

Finally when the plates were being collected we asked about dessert, and then we waited, waited, waited some more, I thought Christmas was nearly coming around again, and then asked another member of staff about ordering desserts and she said she would send over another member of staff who will know, well they must be sending them over by royal mail it took that long, and we were then told "ohh sorry yous left it too late to order and the kitchen is now closed". Which was just outstanding (not). My clique and I left this place extremly dissatisfied and disappointed with the level of food and service, I myself am none to plussed and will not...

Such poor customer service… I was here on Saturday night with a reservation for 4 people was left waiting at the host stand for approx 20 minutes as they couldn’t find a table to seat us even though we had booked in advance. A friend and I ordered a drink with dinner from a waitress and was brought out by bar staff no problem then promptly followed by who I assume was a manageress being very hostile asking for ID, my party was ages 18-19 and we were told we could not drink there with our dinner as we weren’t 23. This was not made clear when we booked online or else we would not have made a reservation to start with. She replied very smartly with its on the website and there’s a sign at the door (which is not clearly visible hidden underneath the host stand practically on the floor as we checked when leaving) Then she proceeded to say we could keep the drinks just not order another (just so we could be charged for those drinks) The atmosphere was overly loud and hostile could not get the attention of staff when needed. Very poor customer service coming from someone who works in the industry would never go here again very...
