Today the 14th of November at 7.30pm I had to ring this establishment to find out what was going on with an order I had placed over the phone at 5.30! We had placed orders in several different establishments around the town and had been told different times by all for collection and as your business was the first we rang and the earliest time to collect was given and any normal person would think it was the first place we went to collect our food as we were told it would be ready by 6.20, almost a full hour after we had placed our order, my son went in to collect this order and was told it wasn't ready and that he would have to wait, obviously this was no problem and it was only an expected 10minuet delay or so we had thought! 1hour later we were still waiting on food and some how people had come in off of the street and placed an order and left with it before we got our food that was ordered over 1hour beforehand? I tried to ring and ask what was with the wait and why it was so long and I was met with the rudest people I have even talked to, first was a young lady who didn't care to understand why I was upset but only kept repeating that the kitchen was busy, but if it was so busy why was my order of over €70 pushed to the back of the line for people who walked in off of the street? Then she said she would put me on to someone in charge to talk to and I could hear her complaining about me in the background as she handed over the phone! Absolutely ridiculous!! I've never felt so worthless while dealing with a comp ever and that's before this so called person in charge tried to talk to me and didn't care what I had to say and just kept repeating the same story that "the kitchen is busy", as I've worked in the fast food industry before I know the ins and outs and I know it's first order in first order out and that it's not a matter of "the bigger the order longer the wait" I know every customer is treated the same and that those who spend more money should be looked after just as much as those who have spent €10 just like the person who walked in infront of my son and got there order well before my son even though it was ordered 1hour before hand! As for the rest of my food all of the other establishments had to remake all of our orders because they were 1hour late with collection and the food was only fit for the bin because of your company!? And the so called person in charge that refused to give me his name after I looked for it after he ignored everything I was saying and refused to help me or even offer an apology, only told me that if I felt the need to go to just eat that I should just do so as if it was my fault that my food was over 1 hour late after I rang. I don't understand why I would when I rang and had contacted the shop personally to avoid any of this nonsense and disrespectful behavior? I would like to know the name of both of this staff members as I would like to personal report them to head office myself! Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews, but our recent experience at this restaurant was upsetting enough that I felt it needed to be shared.
We visited the restaurant as a group of six, including our parents who were in town for the first time. We were looking forward to a nice family meal together. However, what we experienced was far from welcoming. During our meal, we politely asked for an additional plate of rice. To our surprise, the staff responded quite rudely, saying something along the lines of, “Why don’t you people order everything at once instead of asking again and again?”
This kind of response was completely uncalled for. It’s not unreasonable for diners to ask for something extra during a meal—especially in a group of six people. It’s part of normal dining. But what really shocked us was the tone and attitude of the staff. It felt like we were being scolded for a simple request, and it made the entire table uncomfortable.
What’s even more frustrating is that the restaurant wasn’t even busy at the time. In fact, we were the only family dining there. So there’s no excuse for rushed service or irritated behavior. We tried to be polite and respectful throughout, but the lack of courtesy from the staff ruined the experience for all of us—especially for our parents, who were visiting and deserved a much warmer welcome.
Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, not one where you feel like a burden just for ordering food. Needless to say, we won’t be returning, and I hope the management seriously considers training their staff in basic hospitality and respectful...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant with our parents, who were in Ireland for the first time, hoping for a pleasant meal together. We arrived at 4:15 PM, even though the restaurant officially opens at 4:00 PM. Despite that, we were told to wait in the waiting area until 4:30 PM because they were still cleaning.
When we were finally seated, the entire place had a strong, unpleasant smell—probably from the vacuuming they had just finished. We placed our order and waited over 30 minutes for the food, which we were willing to accept.
However, the most upsetting part was the behavior of one of the staff. While my parents went to use the restroom, I briefly sat at the next table (the restaurant was completely empty), and the waiter rudely told me to move back in a very aggressive tone. I have no idea why that was necessary.
The entire experience felt cold and unwelcoming. Not how we wanted to treat our parents on their first visit to Ireland. If I could give negative stars, I would. Definitely not...
