Big dissaponintment, I personally will never cross their door again. I ordered a focaccia sambo, it was only ok, a bit greasy. + 2 éclairés, filled with a big dollop of pure boring cream which I had to leave aside, was way to much, it wasn't even sweet, no crustard or anything else inside. The chocolate on the éclairés was poor quality, very bitter (probably cheap, microwaved and let to dry). The iced tea and iced coffee was a let down as well, and I got the smallest size babychino I had in Dublin. The coffee was bad cheap robusta coffee, some instant coffee, definitely low quality and not arabica, felt like ground brick tea. Not that I ever ate brick but felt like licking one. While the juice was just cold, lots of ice with a hint flavour of rhubarb. I asked for a bit more milk for the babychino as it was tiny (about 70-80ml at best) and was told I need to pay another euro for it another cup of the same size. Was not worth it..

I sat in the queue for about 25 minutes, people were good and socially distanced, and although everything looked nice and appetizing in the windows, the whole experience was a massive dissaponintment. I think people queued there because there were not many options around the Aquarium. At the till, after I was eventually given the order, I don't mind waiting, I knew staff was under pressure so I didn't want to put any pressure, waited for about 10 mins, but when I saw that I got no spoons or forks to eat the éclairés, I asked the lady that served me and she looked and behaved in a very annoyed way which made me feel very unwelcome. I asked she had a bad day and that she should make the effort to be nice please as everyone is having bad days, especially with small children and she said that they are very busy and under pressure. She turned around angry and got the cutlery from behind her and put it on the wet blue tray. It felt like it was a big hassle to find cutlery and she just wanted us to move on or maybe eat with our hands? There was just a small bottle of empty sanitizer in front of the till so I looked around but nowere else any sanitizing so when I got our I looked for mine. After I asked he if she was okay and empathized with her she smiled but after I sat out I saw her (withing minutes) again out having a cigarette. Maybe I was just unlucky with the service?? ..the food was really not worth the waiting either. I enclose the receipt. Best of luck to the business owners, I hope they train their staff better if they want any business or returning business, and up their game with the food as well as it's not worth it... And actually annoyed me so much I had to get in the car and leave...

We couldn't decide where to grab a quick lunch so ended up going here, based on the good reviews. We looked up the menu online in advance and were very happy with the selection and especially the attractive prices (photo of website prices attached). We ordered x2 chicken and bacon paninis, (one panini with the soup combo), latte, chai latte, choc éclair and a carrot cake. Which would have brought the total to around 30 euro, which we were happy to pay. But that sounded too good to be true because when coming to check out, the price was a whopping 42 euro!!! I said that doesn't sound right, was the soup added as a different item of food rather than the combo? The owner says no, that's all correct, the soup and panini combo is 14 euro. I was absolutely confused and said but on the website the price is 8.95 for the combo? The owner said , oh no no, those are THE OLD INCORRECT PRICES. I said oh ok, can I please get the combo at this "old" price then? I wasn't aware that these prices were incorrect. And the owner with a massive smirk on his face said no you cannot... Alright then, sir... I probably should have just asked for a refund and walked out in that case. Anyway, food is absolutely not worth it. Paninis are premade and only toasted. Hardly any filling in it, no sauce. And based on the "new correct" price, it's 8.50 for that garbage. The tomato and basil soup...well, no comment. No taste what so ever. So the totalled 2 stars for the food is 1 star for the latte and 1 for the éclair (lots of cream in it, so pretty good if you're a cream lover ). Service? Well there is no service and I dont recommended coming here. A very disappointing place and experience. If the owner had done the gesture of good will and agreed to sell the combo at the old price, it would have definitely benefited him. But I think this is an extremely unfair and misleading situation and how the owner acted, it's not how you run a business. 1 star for atmosphere because it's just dull here. The only nice thing was the starlings who live in the building roof, they were the only atmospheric thing here. If this is what people queue up for... then I'd question...

This WAS my regular coffee shop in Bray for a long time once it opened for great staff, great menu and amazing atmosphere but I won't go near Finbees anymore after too many terrible mistakes. There seems to be a massive turn over of staff, they always seem to have an inexperienced person at the payment counter who constantly gets orders wrong and then isn't helpful what so ever once the mistake is pointed out. My most recent order was for 3 americanos and one cinnamon bun. We received 2 americanos and the cinnamon bun was heated (although we didn't ask for that) and put into a paper bag. When we pointed out that we asked for 3 americanos we were told to go back into the queue for the 3rd one. The icing of the cinnamon bun was completely stuck to the paper bag and considering all cakes and pastries are priced very high, I don't think any customer deserves that kind of presentation. The girl at the payment counter threw the bagged bun back to us and said "that's how we do it here". We had to demand that she give us a new (unheated) cinnamon bun or we were going to ask for a manager. Coffee quality isn't up to scratch either for such a high price. Tastes like the filters aren't cleaned out regularly enough. The Italian gelateria across the way has...

If you are looking for an amazing coffee shop in Bray, County Wicklow , Ireland. I highly recommend Finbee’s Coffee House located on the main sea front. I was made feel very welcome. upon walking up to the cafe. I ordered a cappuccino. The cafe has lots of seating indoors and outside. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, lived in the United States for over thirty years and served in the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great Coffee Shop from all my travels and life experiences. I definitely will return to Finnbee’s Coffee House in the near future. This establishment rates five stars and more! A must visit when in Bray, County Wickow, Ireland.
