I love it; it's on my way home from work, less than a 10 minute walk from the city centre. It's one of the oldest and cheapest pubs in Kilkenny, and when I say 'cheap' I mean the price of a drink because the pub itself is warm and welcoming, the staff is really friendly and they have a lot of regular custumers. We were staying at the hotel across the road and on the Thursday we noticed a board had been put up outside The Sceilp Inn saying 'Live music on Thursday night'! After dinner we made our way over for a drink and to enjoy the music. All was quiet inside and when we enquired about the live music we were told that their musician had died some time back and they were finding it difficult to find another one!
