Kenna’s Butchers — Local services in The Municipal District of Kilkenny City

I was a customer there for the very first time today and was absolutely bowled over by the shop and the staff.

I spotted an oxtail in the window and went in to buy it and enquired about beef bones for my dog. The proprietor gave me a box of bones for the dog as part of the deal and told me to call in any time.

Durante nuestro viaje a Irlanda, nos alojamos frente a una carnicería en la encantadora ciudad de Kilkenny. El último día, cometimos el error de dejar un teléfono móvil dentro del apartamento después de haber devuelto las llaves en el buzón. Eran apenas las ocho de la mañana y no sabíamos cómo contactar con los dueños, que también gestionaban un restaurante cercano.

Por suerte, el carnicero —cuya tienda estaba justo enfrente— nos ayudó de inmediato y con una amabilidad y diligencia que no olvidaremos. Gracias a él, pudimos ponernos en contacto con los propietarios, recuperar el teléfono y llegar a tiempo para devolver nuestro coche de alquiler.

Este gesto desinteresado es una muestra clara de la gran persona que es. No solo fue servicial, sino también empático y generoso con su tiempo. Un auténtico ejemplo de hospitalidad irlandesa. ¡Mil gracias...
