Aroi Asian Restaurant, Kilkenny - An Unforgettable Dining Experience!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Aroi Asian restaurant in Kilkenny, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the welcoming and attentive staff made us feel right at home.

The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish burst with authentic flavours, and the presentation was simply beautiful. We enjoyed a range of dishes, from rich, aromatic curries to perfectly balanced stir-fried noodles, and every bite was a delight.

What truly set our experience apart was the wonderful surprise the team organised for my son and daughter. They went above and beyond by presenting not one, but two birthday plates, complete with a complimentary dessert. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made the evening extra special for our family.

Our visit to Aroi was honestly something special. It’s safe to say I’m not the biggest fan of Thai food but I absolutely enjoyed everything I had.

When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table and service was very quick and efficient. We started off with Crackers and Vegetable Gyoza. I thought the crackers were amazing and pairing them with Chilli Dip was a great idea. Couldn’t get enough of it!

We didn’t have to wait too long for our mains: Pad Thai and Green Curry and I found mine to be really delicious and though I absolutely could have eaten more the portion size was absolutely fine. My partner thought his green curry was OK apart from the fact he thought it was a little too salty.

Altogether the price came to €65 which was very reasonable for a meal for two people. I’d visit again but I don’t think we’ll be back to Kilkenny...

I had such a fantastic experience at Aroi in Kilkenny. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a lively buzz that set the tone for the evening. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made me feel genuinely welcome without being overbearing.

The food was the real star — fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavour. Every dish was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced, with just the right mix of spice and richness. You can tell that a lot of care and authenticity goes into the cooking. Portions were generous too, offering incredible value for the quality.

What I loved most was how Aroi manages to deliver such bold, exciting flavours in a relaxed, casual setting. It’s the kind of place that works equally well for a casual dinner with friends or a special night out.
