I tried to have a lovely lunch with my daughter here, but unfortunately the experience wasn’t great. When we first arrived, we were left sitting for quite a while. The man beside us had also been forgotten about, the staff were rushing around asking if he had received his fry, and when they realised he hadn’t, they apologised and offered him more tea. My daughter ordered pancakes, which she enjoyed, but they were brought out well before my own food. By the time my order arrived, she was nearly finished eating, which left her bored while I was still trying to eat. I also had to take her upstairs to use the bathroom, tree flights of stairs. which wasn’t the easiest with a child. As for my own meal, it was very disappointing. I asked three different staff members for my toasted ham and cheese sandwich to be well done, but when it arrived it was barely browned, overloaded with cheese, The vegetable soup was so piping hot that it was inedible. I ended up leaving a full bowl of soup and half a sandwich untouched. What struck me was that when I went to pay, the table was cleared quickly but no one seemed to notice or ask why most of my food was left uneaten. It felt like the staff were too scattered and rushed to pay attention. On top of that, I couldn’t help but notice a phone, cigarettes, and a lighter sitting together in the background, which didn’t give the best impression of professionalism. Overall, I left disappointed. With a bit more organisation, attention to detail, and care for customers, this could be a much nicer experience. Unfortunately, on this visit, it fell far short of what I...
Read moreStumbled upon this place while looking for a lunch spot on the streets of Kilkenny and it hit the spot! The staff was super welcoming and our party of 5 was seated right away on the top floor by the window which overlooked the streets. I ordered the Cajun Chicken wrap with chips and it was warm and absolutely delicious blend of flavors. Highly recommend! My friends got the chicken cesar wrap and the beef burger and all were very pleased with the quality and service of this place. The hot chocolate was heartwarming after walking the cold windy streets and definitely a must try at this place. They also offered other espresso drinks from lattes to cappuccinos along with salads, soups and main entrees.
This is more of a casual cafe and once you're seated and order you can just pay downstairs at the cashier. They do have a bathroom and...
Read moreUnfortunately, a bad experience and poor customer service! We entered the restaurant at 4.10 pm, 50 minutes before closing time. We were immediately informed that the kitchen closes at 4.30 pm. As we only wanted a sandwich and a cookie, that shouldn't be a problem. However, while we were waiting for our food and eating, the waitress was already hoovering, moving tables and chairs and barring the windows. We could barely have a conversation. When the lady had finished clearing up, she stared at us reproachfully until we had finished eating. Then she grabbed the half-full coffee cup and wanted to clear the table as soon as possible. And it was only 4.35 pm. Didn't even have a smile or nice words like "Enjoy your food" for us. Too bad, in this restaurant, an early finish is prioritised over a...
