I don’t do reviews but this has to be documented. So, let’s start with the positives…. The food was very good, the restaurant and facilities were clean. We wanted to try a variety of starters because amongst our party of four, was one person who had not experienced Japanese food, previously. But the first waitress demanded that we order our mains at the same time as the starters. We were duly complying and as we were deciding on our mains, a second waitress took over to serve (well, it was more intimidation than service). It was the rudest approach by a waitress I have ever experienced. No smile, no welcome, no warmth, no patience. When I was paying the bill I enquired and was told that her name was Saika. Well, Saika has got to be the rudest waitress (if not person) I have ever met in my life (I’m 60). She turned our supposed-to-be-relaxing meal into a sprint to get out as soon as possible. The restaurant was not full or particularly busy but in her rush to ā€œprocessā€ us, she got our order wrong. She tried to blame us for that and after checking her order book, realised her mistake. She didn’t apologise and just ran off to further check her notes. She didn’t return to our table to apologise or explain about the expected delay time for two of our mains. The remaining dishes were served, but by another waitress. When I was paying, I tried to explain to the manager that Saika was very rude but the manager somehow didn’t understand the word ā€œrudeā€. This is the only restaurant I have not tipped the service. I genuinely always tip. This was definitely the worst customer service all four of us have ever experienced. But I would recommend that you go to Kyoto for the food and be entertained by the rudeness of Saika. It’s certainly an...

I was there the other night with my partner, he is a vegetarian and ordered veg Noddles and a main. He found more than 1 piece of chicken in his veg Noddles which is beyond disgraceful and so easily avoided if proper care and use of colour coding was implemented in the kitchen. As someone who works in the food industry I know there is no excuse it's just pure lack of consideration for peoples choices and lazy chefs. I wouldn't advice anyone who is vegetarian or vegan to go here as they clearly don't care about dietary restrictions. They didn't even tell the kitchen either and barely an apology. Very poor service all around

This happened Sunday evening the 21st of August. We were served by a women with a straight black hair in a bob shoulder length style. Very unhelpful and not friendly at all

We did let the staff know he was vegetarian. That's why he ordered the tofu mains.. We were sitting down the back with empty tables all around us, wasn't that busy. He said it was fine he didn't need a replacement bowl of veg noodles, one replacement bowl of Noddles was all that was offered. And since his veggie option wasn't vegetarian why would he want to risk it again. It's so easy to make sure that cross contamination doesn't happen of the proper training and consideration is taken. Again any vegetarians or vegans should...

Took the family here with no reservation on a Saturday night n July. It was only 6pm but the place was jammed and was clearly very kid-friendly at that time. We were quickly seated near a loud baby and had a long wait to take our order.

From then the service was very good. We ordered edamame (5/5), chicken thigh yakitori (5/5), and tempura (3/5). Some of the tempura was burnt and they didn't have much variety in our double-order vegetables. The tempura shrimp were okay (3/5) but compared to how sweet and succulent they were at Zakura Izakaya during a recent trip to Dublin they seemed average.

For mains we got a variety of sushi including a sashimi selection (5/5), unagi nigiri (4/5), spider roll (4/5), california roll (5/5), eel/cucumber roll (4/4), & cucumber rolls (5/5),. All in all, it was good not great. If you are craving sushi it will definitely scratch that itch and maybe this wasn't their best night. The tell for me is the sashimi which was fresh, tender, and delicious! Best part of the meal for me by far. I'd certainly come back but can't stretch to give...

Ok I have mixed views on this place. On the one side the food is good. Staff are polite maybe a little to eager which makes it creepy. The menu is more Chinese takeaway. And I found myself wanting to say 谢谢 when they served me. The thing that bugs me is the sushi was nice to eat just poorly made. The rolls where too big and falling apart. For drinks they only had 1 saki choice and it tasted pritty cheap for 5.50 euro. More options would be great. The tempura prawns where excellent. So I feel I'm just being petty and comparing it to all the other sushi places I've been around the world. So to take away from this. Eat here don't have high expectations and you will be fine. I would eat here again and I would be happy with he meal.

I Ordered sushi for takeaway on Sunday 20th of November from kyoto . Spent over 100 euro on our takeaway ! Just at the end of our meal I found a worm in my sushi !!!! To say I felt sick is an understatement ......... When I called kyoto to complain they where extremely rude to me ! They told me that it's totally normal to get worms in sushi !! Never in my life have I got worms in my sushi !!! The worm was raw ..and the fish was cooked as you will see from the pictures ,which leads me to believe it was cross contamination!!! I was treated terribly by all staff that I spoke to ! They hung up the phone on me three times !!!! And even went as far to ask me if I knew how to cook sushi !!!! I will not be leaving this go ...

Easy to find. Car parking in loading bay after 6.30 (9.30 Friday). Very clean. Great food choices. I had the bento ā€˜night special’ that give you three dishes in one box. Very tasty and good portion. Asahi beer was so cold - fantastic! Service was fast and very attentive. Food was awesome! Deserts were really good value and very nice… Only negative comment was there was no music in the back ground. So idiot’s friends with their mobiles pinging back after taking photos of the food they’re eating and having no restaurant etiquette whatsoever. Not the staff’s fault - just selfish entitled idiots of all ages irritating others in the restaurant…
