Yehudala A Spot with Great Energy in Jerusalem
If you’re in Jerusalem and looking for a place with good vibes, great music, tasty food, and a laid-back atmosphere Yehudala is the place to be.
I’ve been there a few times already, and each visit feels fresh and exciting. The menu changes often, but one thing always stays – the polenta. Trust me, it’s the best I’ve ever had!
This time, we had a cold beer, crispy fries with a delicious mustard-mayo dip, the signature polenta (of course), and an open-faced sausage bun. Don’t picture a hot dog – this is a beautifully plated dish you eat with a knife and fork. A total upgrade.
For dessert, we had the brown butter ice cream rich, creamy, and absolutely dreamy.
The music in the background really sets the tone, and the seating is all around the bar, where you can watch the food being prepared right in front of you. It’s not a fancy place it’s more of a cool neighborhood spot with simple wooden tables and chairs, and a fun, cozy atmosphere.
It’s hard to explain the magic, but it’s there. Highly recommend arriving early it fills up...

Jerusalem was a day trip and after a long day touring, we went to Yudale for dinner.
The service was brilliant - snatching used services and giving new ones before you swallow your next bite without even knowing!
Every single person who works here is beautiful.
We told our gorgeous host, Aviad, it was a birthday (it really was) and he said “on a scale of 1-10, how hungry are you?” we replied “8” he said “leave it to me”, after which we were presented with dish upon dish of delicious foods.
The chef - Assaf - also easy on the eyes, his food made us almost weep - it was so good - we complimented him and he was so humble and thankful.
Adam - another of our hot hosts - spoke life into the wines we ordered and made some of the best recommendations.
Everyone was so gracious, embracing and lovely.
The music and atmosphere was a total vibe!
If you don’t go to Yudale, while in Jerusalem, you are a fool!
Thank you team Yudale, for a beautiful experience.

Read moreI came here on a coworker's recommendation, and it was okay. We came right on time because after we did, a lot more people came. We got seated outdoors with barrels as tables, which I thought was unique and didn't mind. We asked for dish recommendations, and we ordered accordingly and got sambouka which was filled with chick peas, polenta, and knefe with spinach. They were all just okay, as the dishes were really small for quite a high price. I liked the sambouka's flavor, but the knefe tasted pretty average. The polenta, which is apparently their most popular dish, came with lots of mushrooms which I love and cheese too, and the flavor was good. The dish was also a good size compared to the other dishes we got. Service was pretty good as they came to check up on us throughout our meal, and the weather was great for enjoying a meal outside. It was pretty loud and crowded inside, so I'm glad we got seated outside. The bill was quite high at almost 150 shekels for two, and I wasn't quite full...
