Sima Steak House 1969 — Restaurant in Jerusalem

We go there every year, so in my case the differences in standard are quite apparent.

While last year we thought there might be a slight slip both in quality and standard, It's tonight that we are sure of it.

First of all let's talk about the service, or more accurately the LACK of it. I shouldn't have to raise my hand for over 2 minutes hoping for attention. The waitress practically did me a favor coming over. This happened 3 times sadly.

The food: A clear drop in quality. The humus was not as good as I remembered, and the meat also was once better.

Excellent service and delicious food with very generous portions and a staff that is eager to please and wants to make you happy.

We started with a vegetable soup, which was some of the best I've ever tasted, and a wonderful green lentil soup. These were BIG soups!

For sides we had a standard Israeli salad and simple but tasty steamed vegetables done to perfection.

The marinated lemon olive chicken was perfect. So savory, seasoned just right.

My dining partner had the filet mignon, which was also excellent.

Nice casual atmosphere, very welcoming, plenty of seating and comfortable space for all diners even when busy.

This is a pleasant X clean restaurant that is generally busy as it is situated close to the Machaneh Yehuda market X also children friendly. I believe it would be suitable for people with special needs. Their menu is made up of specialities as those of Iraqi, Parsi people. There is plenty to choose from X everything was fresh.
