I waited a few days to find the time to write this review. This has been in the planning for about a year, this past Thursday we finally celebrated our sons bar mitzvah in Jerusalem. Right after we finished in Robinson Arch we got on the bus and made our way to Grill Bar for lunch. We were not disappointed and we knew it the moment we walked in, we had about 60 people. 6-7 tables were already set and served with salads, all looked fresh and tasted great. I was asked to give them 10-15 minutes notice for when we wanted the meat to come out. We waited about 15-20 minutes and then gave the sign. It too exactly 10 minutes for plenty of meat to start coming out and be served on the tables, endless meat I should say. There was not one serving or one dish that was not cooked right, my guests kept complimenting us about the right choice we made and how good everything was. We were extremely happy with the crew of servers, with the Chef and with the food especially considering the price was better than any other restaurant we checked with and the food, the price, the service was much better than another restaurant not too far from there which we ate dinner the night before and paid almost twice more per person and were not happy at all mainly with the service. All and all Grill Bar exceeded expectations and we will definitely go back again when ever we are in Jerusalem. I know for sure our guests will as well. Will add pictures when we get our pictures from the...
Read moreStaff: very friendly and eager to help, quick and warm service, yet not intrusive, this is the type of service I like most in the Middle East.
Atmosphere: extremely popular with locals, with rather few foreigners, yet the menu was fully translated into English.
Food: Talking about the food, it was one of the two restaurants in Israel which I actually miss and want to go back now! The BBQ chicken was juicy, with an attractive smell of charcoal. They roasted the meat just to the right point, tender and tasty!
From 12:00 - 17:00, they serve "Business Lunch", for only 65 NIS, you get 2 skewers, salad, bread, drink, side dish, it's definitely one of the best values you can get in Jerusalem. And I don't go there because of the price, I went there because they really made everything so delicious!
Suggestion to visitors: better go there at 12:00 for lunch, or around 19:00 for dinner. The restaurant tends to fill up quickly, one moment you see nobody, then within 3 minutes, the restaurant would be filled up! If you arrive too late, you may have to wait outside for a table.
Conclusion: A restaurant with vibe and values, yet maintain high quality of food, you don't want...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Grill Bar in Jerusalem and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious and served quickly, which was great since we were quite hungry after a day of touring the city. The local beer was also fantastic and really added to the overall dining experience.
What really made this restaurant stand out to me was the good service. My family and I were the only tourists in the restaurant, but we were treated like VIPs from the moment we arrived. The waiters were friendly and understanding of our English-speaking needs, which was a huge plus. We experienced all during our trip staff that was less than friendly so this was a huge plus.
To top it all off, it was my mum's birthday and the staff surprised us with a dessert served with a song and a candle. It was such a special touch and really made our last day in Israel memorable.
Overall, I highly recommend Grill Bar to anyone looking for a great meal and good service in Jerusalem. It's definitely...
