--Hebrew below-- Not a good experience, We went there on Saturday as it was one of the only few open restaurants, The service is very slow, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant it took a long time until dishes came out. most of the food on the menu is fried, and not because "It's Chinese", but in order to disguise the flavor of bad food quality. Do not expect anything to be fresh but frozen, and even the desserts were badly made (And of course fried). If all you want is a simple plate of noodles then go ahead (It was the only "ok" item on the menu). But please go anywhere else than here. The bizarre thing is that although the food is really bad quality, the prices are skyrocketed.
Read moreAbsolutely incredible experience at Mandarin in Jerusalem! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing.
We started with the egg drop soup and egg rolls—both were bursting with flavor. The soup had a rich, savory depth with silky strands of egg that melted in your mouth, and the egg rolls were perfectly crisp on the outside and packed with delicious filling.
The main dishes were equally outstanding. The sweet-and-sour chicken was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of tang and sweetness, and the chicken was tender and crispy. The beef and broccoli was another standout—savory, perfectly cooked beef paired with fresh, crisp broccoli in a rich sauce. The steamed rice was fluffy and the ideal complement to everything.
Every dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the portions were generous. Mandarin has officially become our go-to spot for Chinese food in Jerusalem....
Read moreTook an eternity to get service. I ordered spare ribs with some honey based sauce. Boyfriend ordered sweet and sour chicken. Both were served with inexplicably dyed sauce that tasted identical to each other and turned my fingers red. The chicken came with canned pineapple and sliced green peppers - we weren't really sure what to do with that. My spare ribs were grisly, stringy and dry. It was pretty overpriced for the quality and quantity though I'm grateful the portions were small because it was a struggle to finish. Second worst Chinese food...
